This machine DIED (100% failure) in less than 8 weeks of use. I'm requesting immediate refund or replacement. Winter's climate in Colorado Springs, where I've lived since 1999, is extremely dry. Despite having a high output central humidification system on my home's furnace, we find it necessary to have additional humidifiers in our bedrooms, which run almost continually on winter nights. I have owned probably about dozen room humidifiers and despite they get fairly heavy use in my home, I have always provided cleaning and service as recommended by each manufacturer. To be fair, I was initially favorably impressed with this, my first, Crane brand product. It was quiet and produced a good volume of warm, ultrasonic mist. It also had a nice, functional control panel and was simple to operate. Having owned so many room humidifiers (ranging from about $75 upwards of about $200) over the ~24 years I've lived here, on average they tend to last about three winters each. My Crane humidifier was delivered on 11/19/2023 and stopped functioning on 2/9/2024. The unit was never dropped or abused in any way - it just failed to restart after I refilled the water tank. The panel does illuminate normally light up and the controls seem to function, but no mist is produced, and no "error code" is displayed. Zero mist regardless of the settings I've tried to engage. Kindly do the right thing and either refund what I paid to Amazon Prime, or have them ship me a new unit. Thank You Steven ... show more

I live in a desert and have allergies. I have to add moisture to my room at night or my nose dries out so bad it bleeds. I tried a good half a dozen of these things before I found one that met all my needs, or at least comes close. At night I am very sensitive to every noise and light and this machine fit those needs. It does occasionally make a very soft bubbling sound. Kind of like the bubbling of a small fish tank. The lights have a night mode which turn off all the lights accept the small light letting you know it is in night mode. Personally I am so sensitive I covered that little light with black tape. My only issue is that the warm mist isn't very warm. It is slightly warmer than the cold, but not by much. Probably my favorite thing about it is it is so, so easy to clean, and it stays clean too. I know as long as they keep making them this will be the only humidifier/evaporator I ever buy again. Oh yeah and it doesn't put out that annoying whistle sound that so many of the ultrasonic machines do. That was a huge + for me!!! ... show more

I actually bought this to replace a Dyson humidifier that I had that stopped working. I can almost give this 5 stars but the one down side has been that the auto setting for the humidity level is not accurate at all. The weird thing is that when you first plug it in and turn it on, it is accurate but a minute or so later is drops to an inaccurate level (for example, humidity level is 40% in the room but the unit will read 28-30%). The issue that this creates is that I either have to have it set to a point where it is not enough moisture or it becomes too much. This is not a deal breaker because the unit is otherwise perfect, looks great and is almost silent but I wish that this could be fixed. ... show more

We use this in the bedroom it has all kinds of settings sterilization the air cool or heat settings. The water container inside is pretty decent size there is a small push in compartment at the bottom and you can put essential oils on the sponge that’s inside of it. This was a great humidifier for 1 year. Then when I went to clean it..which I did monthly. All the sudden the plug n spring came apart in the dispensing water unit. Now I either have to replace the major part of the unit or throw away🤔Not sure yet how much it costs? I’m tired of our throw away society. What happened to household appliances etc.. lasting years. Now we are lucky to get one year, even when you take the time to care for your purchase..Sad.. ... show more

Had one that worked well for a year so I figured I’d bite the bullet and buy another. Well the new one came and I filled it with water after removing the foam block under the water tank, still says out of water and won’t turn on. Set up a return for that one and bought another, same thing happens. Tried a reset, still says no water. I’ve wasted 2 gallons of distilled water on these faulty units. These are either faulty or break in transit. The actual Crane boxes are a little beat up on both units that arrived, but the Amazon packaging wasn’t. What? Did they fall of the back of a truck? I’m returning the second one as well. Going to buy a different brand at a local store. I’m tired of Amazon sending me either used, broken/faulty, or second quality items.
