as a professional mechanic, shop owner I generally buy Snap-On or higher end tools. However when I first started out this kit was my go-to for mobile repairs and junkyard visits. I have bought a few of them as gifts for techs or as replacements for kits that were missing one to many sockets. The value of these tools is phenomenal and the warranty is always good. I have found that these sockets crack significantly less than my sockets from higher end brands like Snap-On and I can exchange them out at Ace Hardware and Lowe’s with no receipt or issues, no matter the age of the tool which gives me hope for the Craftsman name. The teeth in the ratchets are smooth and efficient but I have broken a few ratchets here drives using them past recreational limits from industrial grade abuse. The size of this set allows it to live in my bronco, and it services 99.9% of the bolts on my vehicle. The clip in case is nice and helps keep everything organized. Remembering its not the tools that make the mechanic this kit provides a good starter kit for any guy going out for experience and even has a place in professional applications. ... show more

Too bad Craftsman is not made in the US anymore. Still for a DIY'er, this set is a decent setup. The gunmetal is also unique.

This came in a case that keeps all the items organized. I had a similar set before and have been happy with the Craftsman set. Different drivers and the SAE and Metric gives lots of options.
