These are made in Taiwan, which is a good thing. Judging by the sticker on the back of the storage case, this has been the case since 2019. I have an SAE set from 2016 that is made in China and is not quite as well finished. What I can't determine is if the sockets are Cr-Mo or Cr-V. I would hope being made in Taiwan and being more expensive would imply they are the better for impact Cr-Mo. ... show more

I wanted to buy these for awhile, but they were too expensive. Then i saw them on sale on amazon for $20 less than the price at Lowes and I immediately bought them. I've already used them for an oil change and of course, the 27mm socket for my oil filter housing and the 15mm socket for my drain plug worked great.
