  • Good quality. Diamond textured tips reduce Phillips cam-out.
I saw these reviewed on the Project Farm YouTube channel and decided to add them to my tool box. I've always had good performance with Craftsman screwdrivers and these take it up a notch with the diamond tips for extra grip and less cam-out on Phillips screws. I like the feel of the handles, too. The magnetic tips and good screwhead fit make it easy to set the screw on the screwdriver before installing it. ... show more

Best set of screwdrivers I have owned

  • Diamonds are forever (hopefully).
5 stars if the diamonds hold up, otherwise 2 due to price/expectations ratio. Testing them, they do grip better than normal screwdrivers. Seem to have properly shaped tips. Not pretty, very industrial design. Kind of like that.

  • Great for removing stubborn screws
These are the answers. I have been having PROBLEMS removing screws from my kitchen floorboard. I was getting desperate. I was becoming as obsessed as Captain Ahab about finding the solution. Nothing seemed to help, particularly screw extractors, but I kept buying more and more tools and gadgets, some of which I haven't yet tried. Today, I tried the Craftsman diamond tip drivers, and--so far--they seem to be what I have been looking for. They held. They didn't slip. Because of this, they didn't strip the screw heads, which is really the key. How long they will last is another question. If they last for a reasonable time, they will have earned the 5-stars that I have given today. There is only one way that I can think of that they could be improved, better handles. Some of the screws I just removed taxed my hand strength to the maximum. My thought is that a T-handle would allow much more torque and pressure. Another possibility would be thumbwheel ratchets of a sufficiently large diameter, or anything else that would enable the user to exert more force than the standard screwdriver handles. However, I'm reviewing these drives, and I definitely recommend them. UPDATE: This is it. I just removed about 40 screws from my kitchen floor, 38 of then with only these screwdrivers. Of the two remaining screws, I removed one by drilling out a plug of wood around it. I tried to do the same thing with the other screw, but the drill broke (this is not an easy job), and I ended up digging it out with a chisel. So, my conclusion is that these screwdrivers should be the first line of attack against stubborn screws. However, don't think that these drivers make the job of removing stubborn screws a piece of cake. It's not, it requires a great deal of physical effort. More specifically, the harder you push down on the screw, the better the results will be. If you don't push hard enough to fully engage the screw, a stripped screw head may result. I am not exaggerating, some screws require a great deal of pressure to remove. Good luck. ADDENDUM: I neglected to mention that I also removed many screws with a T-bar driver. It worked very well, but the screws I used it on were not the toughest screws to remove. Nevertheless, I also heartedly recommend T-bar screwdrivers. ... show more

  • Best screwdrivers I have ever owned
I have a set of craftsmen screwdrivers that I got 30 years ago. I bought this set because my other set has over 20 screwdrivers, but I rarely use most of them. This set is perfect with 3 Phillips and 3 standard. I just put together one of those assemble by numbers cabinets with cheap screws and this set dealt with them perfectly. The diamond tips provided positive purchase and the magnetic tips are very handy. I bought a roll up pouch to put them in and I use them constantly. The handles are all the same color, so it is difficult to grab the right one when they are in the pouch. Otherwise they are perfect. ... show more

  • Diamond Tips Holding Up so Far
Nice set of screw drivers. Like others, I'm concerned the diamond tips will wear out. I'm just not sure how long this will take. I admit that I like the grip they have new. I stripped out the head of a screw with my drill and this driver was still able to find some grip to turn it out. So far with moderate use they are holding up well after 3 months. ... show more

  • These really grip the screw heads!
Looking for tools that work well? Here’s a good example of how to make good tools. The handles are comfortable, and the tips grip the screw heads securely. I wish I had bought them years ago.
