I bought this solely on the VersaStack part. I have a TradeStack with the VersaStack adapter plate. There are pieces of this 262 pcs set that should have been put into other sockets, U-joints or extensions! I mean for the price of $149 its still a bargain even with me adding to it for my needs. The specialty bits are repeating of the same about 20pcs they could have done with out. I guess the trade off is getting the nice pull drawer case, but less pcs that are more functional for me. If your looking for a kit and dont mind adding to I would say yes buy this. The ratchets and sockets are of very solid build. There is a lot of extra storage or places to sneak other pieces to extend your kit. I took out the mini combo wrenchs for me are a joke and I bought my own Metric set 8mm-22mm and buying the same for SAE combo wrenchs. I really like the warranty and the quality of craftsman tools. These are nice if you like things orderly. It's nice to find thing when you need them. It also protects small delicate items. Well-made with a stackable feature the quality is there. You get what you pay for. I have purchased several of these.

I bought this to literally top off my VersaStak set. I wanted drawers that could hold my most used screwdrivers and wrenches--still deciding exactly what will go in there. So far, they work great. The outer shell is solid. I have no concerns about the durability of the case. The drawers have a smooth glide, a dependable latch, and decent depth. They also remove as easily as a desk drawer, if you want to take them out completely for customization. They have removable parallel and perpendicular slats that give you options for dividing up the drawer space. Overall, I am pleased. I am waiting to see how well the drawers hold up. The plastic on the bottom is thin. Should be fine, but I wish it was a little sturdier. The case is also pretty bulky, relative to the storage space in the drawers. I suppose that's the tradeoff of using plastic VS metal--more material has to be used for structure, so you sacrifice cubic space. It's not a bad price, but I would be a lot more excited about it if I could have found a sale. I have compared a lot of these stackable systems--probably every major brand available. This one seems to be the best bang for your buck. If you're a more serious contractor, consider Craftsman's next level up from this set. Like I said, I've compared them all and seen them all in-person. In my opinion, Craftsman is the best value, and also pretty dang sturdy and customizable. Harbor Freight has a good set, but they don't have a segment with drawers, and the price overall isn't that far off. ... show more

These are not Packout or similar quality. For the price though, these cannot be beat. The drawers are a bit shallow but with the low price you can add more as needed. Compatibility with the tstak system is useful.
