Description

The CRAFTSMAN® 4V Screwdriver delivers simple push button, power assisted speed in one of the most compact integral battery designs available. The 300 RPM (no load) motor drives screws 4x times faster than a standard fixed screwdriver making it perfect for free run, low-torque applications including electronics repair and installing switch plates. When additional powered is required, the motor engages an automatic spindle lock that stabilizes and protects the gears for manual torqueing. The 1.5Ah li-ion battery offers long- lasting reliability, with USB charging and 3 stage LED battery status indication. LED lights activate automatically when in-use improving visibility to working surface. The set includes (6) 1” bits and (1) bit extension for added length, and a quick change locking collet for reliable hold and simple changeover of bits.

Charged one time and been using it on and off for months. Great for small jobs but would buy 2nd HD one for big jobs. Built very well loosens everything so far

    • Perfect size, battery lasts a long time, but very weak power
As long as you know what you're getting, it's pretty great. It's not much bigger than a normal screwdriver, it's light, and the battery lasts a long time (I've had it for 2 months and haven't recharged it yet). BUT it does not have much power to it - any resistance will bog it down. I was hoping it would work for driving a bunch of medium sized bolts into threaded holes in an aluminum gazebo I was putting together and it had a tough time on a lot of them, so I ended up switching to a 12v driver. It does, however, work great for small stuff around the house where you would normally use a regular screwdriver. It's especially useful for anything small that needs hex keys to put together, just get a good set of hex bits. ... show more

    • Battery last a lot longer than my last driver, but the power is still weak.
I had a Hammer ?? electric screwdriver, which had a regular rechargeable battery and would die rather quickly. It was great in theory, so I looked for one with Lithium Ion in the same small form factor. This fits the bill. The battery lets me go all day, but I have to add hand power when things start getting tight. Which I am glad it lets me do without hurting the gears, but I would like a bit more oomph. I am also not a fan of the buttons, which means the screwdriver needs to sit in your hand just right to operate. On my other driver, it had a collar that you turned, so you could pick it up without looking and operate it. ... show more

Battery life on this thing is excellent. My main dislike is the placement of the buttons for the drill seem in ergonomic when in your hand or orientation you have the piece depending on what you are working. It can be tough in smaller to reach areas. But once you get a screw loose the piece works great. ... show more

I purchased this because I saw a guy that I was working with had one and I was impressed by the size, it’s no bigger than a ratchet screwdriver and it’s pretty powerful for its size. I bought one to use on faceplates and I noticed Amazon had a used option for $15 cheaper so I just purchased that and I ended up receiving a brand new one still in original packaging, it had a spot on the packaging where it looked like a sticker was pulled off and some residue left behind but it was still brand new and I’m very happy with my purchase. ... show more
