Flavor Name: Amylase Enzyme

Features

  • AMYLASE ENZYME - This product will help you brew your best light and low carb beers. This helpful ingredient increases a beers fermentability by efficiently breaking down malts into maltose and fermentable sugars creating a dry finished beer.
  • ADDED ENZYMES - Our Alpha Amylase Enzyme is ideal for use in beers that dont have enough naturally occurring enzymes. This is typical in cases of high levels of adjuncts, like corn. This product can also be used to prevent starch haze in a beer.
  • HOW TO USE - To improve the speed of the fermentation process and craft a light or reduced calorie beer, use 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons of beer (or 0.1 - 0.3 teaspoons per gallon). For an extract beer, add to fermenter when pitching yeast and for an all-grain beer, add to the mash.
  • STARCH CONVERSION - Our Amylase Enzyme is perfect for brewing beer at home. Adding this product to a mash that is low in enzymes is ideal as starches can be converted into sugar.
  • CRAFT A BREW QUALITY - Based in Orlando, FL, our mission at Craft A Brew is to stand as the trusted source for homebrew supplies. Guided by our core values of delivering top-notch ingredients, combining elegance with efficiency in design, and championing environmental sustainability, we ensure that every sip is a delightful experience, savored just the way it should be.

  • Amylase not
Flavor Name: Amylase Enzyme
Used the amylase for oat milk. This one doesn’t work. Came out slightly slimy. I use Distillers Choice and their enzyme is brown and grainy. That one works and you need 1/8the tap per 4c of water. This enzyme needs double for the same batch and was still slimy. Next time, I’ll let it sit longer and double the enzyme, but I’d rather pay an extra couple of dollars for an enzyme that actually works. ... show more

  • Promotes fermentation
Flavor Name: Amylase Enzyme
So I had a stuck fermentation, the first one ever (so far). Read on a homebrew forum that one guy used this during the mash. I've brewed 4 batches with this added (1 tsp per 5 gallons) and my fermentations have been vigorous and I've met or exceed my FG levels every time. I probably won't brew without this stuff again, I consider it part of my water salts. ... show more
