  • Comfortable and durable but series branding needs work
Color: Duratex Mag Pocket Khaki Size: 32W x 30L
These pants are comfortable. They sort of remind me of wearing snowboard pants without all the extra layers. I’m wearing these for facilities maintenance work in Arizona so we will see how they feel in the heat but the initial durability suggest they’ll last longer than the wrangler “flex” jeans I’ve been wearing to work that always ripped at the seems. My one issue having ordered 4 pairs of cqr pants this week is the inconsistency of brand lines or series. Pants are great and they’d be 5 stars but the listing of items is super confusing. The title of all cqr pants of every Amazon listing is too long and doesn’t feature any of the names of pants and colors. They’re better for descriptions or product details and usage and all are way too similar. Under listings is too many lines or series like “work cargo” “dura flex” “duratex” duratex ripstop” etc… From their Amazon store page you see series like “liberator” “covert” “wilderness” and “sapper” and when you receive the pants get tags that say “raider series” “tactical series” “pioneer series” “sapper” and many other random names that are not in the title of the Amazon listing nor do the pants feature any of the names of the color selections like duratex or tec or work cargo etc. When I first ordered the work cargo in a 30x30 I believed them to be their own series and also believed they were a straight fit so when I couldn’t order a waist size up for a better fit under the same listing I ordered another work cargo in another color 32x30 only to receive a different pant style with little change in the fit. I then learned that the first pair I got wasn’t a “work cargo” it was the liberator duratex mag pocket which is actually a relaxed fit and not straight fit. So I ordered that in a 32x30 which fits well other than it feeling a little baggy. So it seems there’s the brand cqr, a breakdown of 4 series of pants, an unknown amount of sub series under the 4 series, and then different styles and materials. I’d suggest CQR solidify the branding and series and have that match the header item name along with the “colors” section and have one series in each listing and include the fit type for easy search filtering along with some of the labeling in “product details” where many listings say women’s when they’re clearly men’s. Feature one color for every pair for the main picture of the series with swatches of available colors instead of 10+ listings that are all just the same thing but different colors. Maybe utilize the brands items numbers more too so ordering more of the same thing or ordering different sizes makes sense. ... show more

  • Well made
Color: Duratex Mag Pocket Charcoal Size: 38W x 32L
As I have stated before, I am hard to please. I have to give these britches 5 thumbs up. Been wearing Wranglers cargo pants for 2 decades. These are new to me and I am impressed. They cost a little more but I still think it's a good value. I don't do anything 'tactical' but I'm an old technician working outside, in dirty cellars, nasty crawl spaces and even worse. My pants go through all kinds of crap. I have had these for a month now and wear them and wash them a dozen times. Still look great. Very comfortable. I bought a fairly dark gray pair so that when I stain them it won't show after washing. Very durable fabric (and I don't baby them, I work in them) with all kinds of reinforced stitching and stuff. Extremely well made. Extra pockets for my tools and fittings and accessories. Hip pockets are a bit larger or maybe I just need a bigger wallet. I'm looking to buy the camouflage pair next so no one can see me. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Strong and durable - Quality Hardware
These are great quality tactical pants. They are comparable to 511 and other top brand pants. I have been wearing them for several years now and I have put them through some hard tests. I have worn these in deep harsh wilderness brush conditions, sliding down hills in gravel, falling on my knees, etc. These pants have held up like iron and have only gotten a few little almost undetectable scratches in really hard worn areas like the knees. Most other pants would have huge rips with what I have put these through. The ripstop fabric makes a huge difference. ... show more

  • Lightweight. Thin material.
For the price I paid I expected the quality to be better. When one pays 40 or more, the quality of pants should be good enough. I bought these for a relative that’s on their feet all day walking, bending, lifting heavy material… They have not complained to me about the pants. They like it so much I ended up ordering another pair for them. The material feels thin to me and my guess is they will shrink a little from being dried a lot. Time will tell. Overall it worked good for them. The person who I bought it for has a skinny legs and skinny body below. I read in the reviews it is uncomfortable for people with butts and thicker body below. Keep that in mind. ... show more

  • Favorite after try out 5-6 brands
Color: Duratex Olive Green Size: 32W x 32L
Cargo pants. Not a fan, but I needed more pockets than jeans to work at our horse farms. Tried several brands during try outs! 2 or 3 from Amazon, LuLu just came out. Plus a couple others. When the CQR’s arrived, first impression was, I wouldn’t like them. They’re a little thicker than others (not carhart thick) and feel a little stiffer out of the bag. They became my favorite on day 1. Good back pockets that aren’t mesh/fragile. (Watch out for mesh back pocketsthey DO NOT hold up front are ok) The stiffer fabric is better for general use. They soften a bit after a couple washings. They look good enough that I might wear on planes for the pockets. ... show more

  • Great Travel Pants
Color: Duratex Ripstop Tundra Size: 34W x 30L
I love these tactical pants! Brought them on a 2 week sightseeing vacation and they were VERY comfortable on the plane and in the field. When they did get wet, they dried quickly and didn’t wrinkle after. They kept me warm in the cooler weather yet they were cool when it was warmer- just the right weight material. The front deep pockets were great to keep my passport wallet handy and safe, and the lower cargo style pockets were roomy and easy to get at. I bought 2 pair and I intend to get a few more! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great fit and sturdy construction.
These pants fit perfectly, with a little stretch in the waist for comfort. They seem pretty rugged. I've worn them a few times on the job. One of the times I had to climb down a hill through thick brush and trees to get to a wrecked vehicle. They snagged on a few branches, but never tore. The color is dark navy, but just not quite as dark as I hoped. Not a big deal. Great pair of pants. I will probably purchase more. ... show more
