This fan was to replace a failing unit in a Lenovo Yoga C740-15IML laptop. The replacement only made a few feeble attempts to turn when power was restored and then died. The media could not be loaded. I installed this fan in my Lenovo laptop in mid May and it seemed to work great and was very quiet. I was happy. By mid August it started making a periodic grinding noise and by end of August the noise is constant. It sounds terrible and is so loud I cannot use it in meetings at all. (There is no dust or obstructions in it.) Here’s a video of the sound from both over and under the computer. Very disappointed that an $80 unit only lasted 3 months and now the support and return windows are closed. Do not buy! ... show more
