Wicks are not 2mm as described, they are 1mm. This has resulted in the 5 jar candles I made being totally worthless as the wicks burn out after an hour. I thought these looked a bit to skinny but didn't check the size until after. Lesson learned, I will not be buying these in the future.

    • Not very thick or long lasting
When I made my first candle I used three wicks for a four inch diameter candle. I used a soy wax and usually three wicks should be plenty to evenly burn down a candle. They fizzled out within ten minutes after I lit the candle. So these aren’t very tough wicks. They’d be good to make candle sticks but not wider candles. ... show more

These aren't great. The wicks aren't very thick or stiff, some aren't greatly structured, so that they fall and move kind of easily in hot wax (after pour when setting, and during and after burning). I usually have to dig the wick out to burn the candle. This definitely happens if you don't trim the wick. Some have a bit of an oilier smell. ... show more

    • Falls into the wax while burning
So, admittedly, I'm not a candle making expert. I poured some melted wax in a jar with some fragrance oils. But these wicks do not stay erect while burning. I have to go digging the wick out every time. I gave up and switched to wood wicks. For frame of reference, I'm using a soy/coco/beeswax blend by Wood Wick Co. which is a relatively soft wax. ... show more

It could have been the soy wax I bought, but these did not stand up straight. They always fell over into the wax once I blew out the candles, and I ended up having to throw the candles away.

Great product! Quality materials and the metal wick centering tool is so useful and something I wouldn't have thought to purchase on my own. I like to repackage my run down candles by melting the wax and making new ones with fresh wicks, and so far with the help of this product I've made 6! This would be a great product for the holidays if you wanted to make DIY candle gifts for a thrifty but thoughtful present. ... show more

See photos. I hoped these wicks wouldn't burn out or otherwise suck. No such luck. I make candels using Oui yogurt jars which are pretty small and don't require a huge wick. These wicks are just bad. I took photos of the candel to show that the initial wick size was sufficient and it burns out.

Inconsistent. Some of mine burned okay, others didn’t burn away and the wick needed to be trimmed over and over. I noticed the flame low and checked it out only to find about half an inch of the top of the wick still exposed and bent over .
