My first snorkeling swim I didn't adjust the mask and it gave me a headache in about five minutes because it was way too tight. I adjusted it and it worked great after that. It sealed well and it is easy to breath with this full fast mask. I found it easier than using an old type of eye covering with attached snorkel. The fins are easy to put on and are of great use while propelling yourself through the water. My wife also used this same type of mask and she is a novice and it worked just fine for her. The old masks need to go. This was a great product for snorkeling. I’m used to the one where the mask fogs up & water creeps in but this is awesome as it covers your whole face & you can easy look from side to side for fish instead of turning your whole head. It takes getting used to only in that when water gets to come down the snorkle the little ball inside shuts off the passage so you instantly can’t breath. Initially you panic a little but after a few times I just lifted my head slightly knowing I needed to get the snorkle out of the water & the air ball instantly unplugs your air passage. Totally a game changer in snorkeling! I enjoyed it even more because this mask had me enjoying the water more instead fighting the mask fog or water leak Flippers were great too, I like how they just release in the back & adjusting is a snap ... show more

Fit on my face comfortably, and didn't let a lot of water in the mask! I was able to dive down and get a closer look at something and come back with little to no water in my mask! I don't like the masks that cover my nose and make be breathe out of my mouth, I like having the option to do either. I had my face in the water and was able to smile, laugh, talk and it was so fun!     • My best snorkel gear

It was my best snorkel gear experience. Note that I'm not a professional, nor do I play one (or anything else) on TV. I snorkel about every couple of years, but try to pack as much into those efforts as possible. Anyway, I totally recommend the Cozia set with one comment and one reservation. First the good stuff - Vision is great. There is distortion around the fold in the mask, but the side windows worked better than I expected. I was continually surprised by objects in my peripheral vision. Peripheral vision up and down is also enhanced. The seal is also better than I expected. I have a full beard, and while I keep it pretty short it's still a problem with traditional masks. No leakage into the mask through the neck/sideburn area. The full face design gets a lot of credit too. You breathe through your nose. Go figure!! You can also turn your head to either side while breathing, since the "snorkel" is in the middle of your head. I would turn one way and cringe as I reached where the side snorkel would catch, then do the same the other way, but the catch never came. The aforementioned comment: The basic design of the full face makes diving while wearing it difficult. Just the way it's built. With a traditional mask and snorkel, you can push the mask against your face, get a short lived turbo-vacuum effect and drop below the surface. Since the mask and snorkel are plumbed to each other that doesn't work with the full face. You could probably drop the snorkel till the ball valve closes, then do the push, but I didn't figure that out till we were home so couldn't test it out. I tried diving a couple of times with it, then gave up. This is part of the overall full face design, not a problem specific to Cozia. The reservation - I have a big head. 7-5/8 to 7-3/4 hat size. While the mask fit fine, the adjustment straps on the mask were at the end of their travel. When I tried to tighten them a bit, they didn't give much, and tended to slide back to the end again. If you're a mega dome, may want to find something a bit larger. ... show more

I'm in Hawaii right now and because of this mask I managed to see dolphins around me. Breathing is a little more difficult but it's so much nicer than a regular mask! And I can finally snorkel with my beard 😀 that's such a huge plus. I recommend taking deep slow breaths in and not over "exercise" while swimming around. This is a game changer! ... show more

This mask was great for snorkeling! The full mask allows you to see clearly under water, and maintain your peripheral vision. I was able to breath normally though my nose and mouth, and had no issues with water getting in- even when diving. Flippers are very easy to adjust and also fit well.

The mask/snorkel worked well but one thing some people may not account for with this style of mask/snorkel combo is you can’t pinch your nose to pop your ears if you’re diving down more than 5-8 feet. The fins were pretty crappy. Fit my feet okay but the actual surface area of the fin is really small. They also got permanently deformed (bent down) after one session. ... show more
