Description

This Coxreels 1125 Series hose reel is designed for air, water, oil, or pressure washer applications and is manual rewind by hand crank action. The reel can be mounted to a floor, wall, ceiling, bench, or truck. It has a steel A-frame construction for strength and durability and 2-point axle support for stability during operation. Professional grade, heavy duty steel construction coated with a durable proprietary CPC Powder Coat Process. Rolled edges and ribbed discs for strength and safety. It has a brake assembly for braking or for locking the drum to a desired length of hose. It has a working pressure of 3,000 pounds per square inch (psi) and a maximum temperature rating of 275 degrees F. This hose reel is suitable for use in lawn care, grounds maintenance, pressure washing, steam cleaning, washdown, and fire protection applications. Leading 2-Year Manufacturer's Limited Warranty. Used to run water hose out to dock. Sits out in weather and after 2 months is none worse for the wear, but has only been two months. Have another Cox real just like this one only little bigger that I use to run the electricity out to the dock and it has been out in weather for past 2 years and still looks like new (after the dust is washed off). Works well for both purposes and is definitely a quality item. A little pricey but worth the bucks and I would definitely buy again. ... show more

Reel is beautiful but the swivel on the input leaks even when not under pressure. Have left voice messages and emails with Cox Reels and have not recieved any reply. Very disappointed willing to repair myself if they would just contact me and possibly send parts

After a series of expensive failures over the years with conventional garden hose reels that leaked, rusted out, and rotted their tires, we decided to splurge on a commercial-grade reel that we could hopefully get more from. It was disappointing to spend this much money and when it got here, learn we would also need another $30 worth of adapters (2) to take this from standard pipe fittings to garden hose fittings. After all that, we see leaks at the drum even when properly outfitted with a good washer and properly tightened. Yes, we plan to keep it, because the rest of it is built well. Shipping prep is outstanding: The unit comes in a double-wall cardboard box, and the base is bolted to a piece of particle board. I plan to try using different adapters to address the leak. Instead of a swivel connection at the outer edge, I plan 3/4NPT male - 3/4GHT male, with a braided, washing machine supply hose with swivels on both ends to go between the outdoor spigot and the input to the reel. The 2nd fitting, inside the spool, is still an unsolved challenge. The adapter is already a male-male, and the leak is at the NPT end. Teflon tape did not work, nor did non-hardening Permatex gasket/thread seal. ... show more
