I am not a heavy makeup girly. I was skeptical to try but saw a video on YouTube and it looked like it would work. I am So happy that I tried it. I used a brush to apply and one coat covered so nicely. It leaves a sort of dewy look, one coat was to my preference but I can see how it is buildable for more coverage. I have mature, dryer skin as I’ve aged so I used good skincare before applying. I added just the lightest touch of face powder applied with a soft brush afterwards and I’m good to go! I bought this for my Mama and it looks very nice on her skin. It’s light and sheer. Doesn’t enhance her wrinkles. She gave it 4 stars only because she wanted more coverage, but it looks way better than other foundations that sink into her 81 year old lines!

Classic ivory shade was perfect and it provided great lasting coverage once blended.... BUT application and blending is challenging and takes more time than I care to devote in my daily routine. I have very dry skin with fine lines. This is the first and only foundation that blurs my lines and leaves my skin with a dewy glow. Yes, I understand the application is thin and watery, BUT you have to rub the foundation well with your fingers to break up the microbeads and apply. Keep note, that you have to layer it if you want medium to heavy coverage. In addition, a good primer is a must to work well with this product in my opinion. I think all of the negative reviews are coming from folks who do not have dry skin or lines. I hope Covergirl does not discontinue this product based on reviews from individuals with oily or combination skin. It really is a game changer for gals with dry skin and fine lines. As someone with ‘aging’ skin (almost 50….sshhhh don’t tell anyone!!) I love how smooth this foundation applies with either a foundation brush or a damp sponge. Don’t let it fool you, a little goes a long way! Its blends in well, has decent coverage that isn’t caked but still lets my freckles show which is the type of coverage I personally prefer, but seems to build well with multiple layers for a little more coverage if needed. I combine both fair and light together and it’s the perfect color for me. It feels so silky and melds into the skin. It’s looks glowy and healthy. I add a little powder and setting spray.
