I bought this because I got a discount, totally unsure of what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The lipstick is by far the star of this product. LONGEVITY - It does. not. come. off. To see how truly long lasting it is I wore it around the house for 12 hours through two meals and many drinks, smiling, chewing gum, and talking. When I went to remove it looked the same as when I put it on. I had to use makeup remover to get it off. COLOR - From the picture I assumed medium cool would be much more of a pinkish red color. It is just a straight up nude lipstick. I was disappointed at first but the color matches my very fair, cool tone skin really well. It dries very matte and it's very opaque. You will only need to use one thin coat. I applied more than one coat and at times it felt very thick and uncomfortable, so only use one coat. TOP COAT - As far as I can tell the "top coat" is completely unnecessary. It's basically a very soft, wet(?) lip balm, except you get none of the moisturizing benefits when applied on top of the lipstick for obvious reasons. I had to exfoliate and moisturize my lips after I removed the lipstick. If you want a matte lip then you are totally fine to skip the topcoat. It is very glossy which seems to be the main purpose. It does not stick to your lips very well so in the future I will use my regular burt's bees lip balm for a more long lasting, less glossy effect. I may enjoy the top coat over a lip stain but overall I can't see myself using it very much. I do not and have not ever owned a nude lipstick but I think I will get a lot of use out of this in combination with my purple and black lip liners. Overall I recommend it and I will probably buy this same thing in a non-nude color!

This is such a gorgeous blue/pink rosy color. Works great with my pale skin and blue eyes and platinum hair. Been using this product for years. It lasts ALL DAY. I do re-apply the moisturizing stick throughout the day - but this color lasts for hours - even after drinking hot and cold liquids, eating, kissing even! Best lip stain out there and I hope they never change the formula. Warning though: the color itself is very drying - the moisturizing stick is necessary. Always allow the color to dry before adding the shining moisture stick though for best results. I have discovered that if one uses a different balm over top of the color sometimes it pills weirdly. And you have to pick off little bits of the color - the chemistry doesn't always work - so stick to using with the moisturizing balm they provide.

Typically, I like the forever fawn shade, but I have been reading so much about the universal nude shade that I wanted to give it a try as well. When I first opened the container and looked at it, it looked like it had a very orangey red tone, which would look terrible on me being blonde, blue-eyed older in my 50s. I was pleasantly surprised upon putting it on because it actually turns more of a nude brown, but yet with a mauve kind of raspberry type tone just on my lips specifically. Because of this, it was a win for me and I’ll absolutely wear it.

While I really liked the presentation of this beauty product and the shade I chose was so pretty and rich, this lip product is far from my favorite because it is uncomfortably sticky, so hard to apply with precision and makes my lips feel tacky and horrible.
