My sister has a keyboard and she’s been teaching my 4-yo son how to play. He only gets to practice when he’s at her house, which is limited in time. After he expressed a lot of interest in continuing to learn, we decided to invest in a keyboard to keep at our house so he can continue to practice at home. We don’t have a lot do space and wanted a compact keyboard so we went with this one. The size was perfect since it fits into the little reading nook we have, after we moved our kids’ bookshelf to the side. The keyboard and chair came in a bigger box than we expected. When it arrived, we were concerned about the size. But upon opening, we realized that it was mostly proper boxing and padding so the keyboard does not get damaged. There were multiple boxes inside the large box, making it seem like assembly would be a pain. However, the chair already came assembled. You only need to open the chair and it’s ready to go. The base for the keyboard came unassembled but the instruction was only one page long. Assembly required putting the bars together and putting in several screws. This takes no more than 10-15 minutes. The only step that is not included in the assembly is putting the keyboard on top and tightening the screw at the bottom to attach the keyboard to the stand. This part is intuitive so it was easy figure out. There are two plastic clips to hang the headset and mic, but I couldn’t figure out where they were supposed to go. I ended up hanging them on the lamp we have behind the keyboard since it’s easy to reach. Both the keyboard and the chair are adjustable in height. I put the chair to the lowest setting and the keyboard to the middle to accommodate for my son. The keys on the keyboard also light up whenever my son played the notes. He likes this a lot since it helps him remember the notes. So far, my son has enjoyed using this keyboard to practice. There are a lot of other options on the keyboard, but I haven’t figured them out yet since I’m a bit musically challenged. But we plan to give my son piano lessons so we will figure those options out eventually. He’s been very excited to play this keyboard each day and making up his own songs. ... show more

Bought this for my daughter (27) to learn how to play. She plays it for hours every night after her son goes to bed. It records, has backup music, light up keys, and many other features. The only thing I saw it could use is a microphone stand so she can sing while playing a little easier. Other than that it's perfect for a beginner. ... show more

I think this is great for everyone including beginners, sound quality is great and I love the light up feature to be able to play with the songs, it is light weight, and I love the earphone feature, for privacy, the only problem I personally had was I bought the international foot pedal and the JACK was too large to fit into the small console in the back of the keyboard. too bad it doesn’t come with a foot pedal! ... show more

I got this is for my niece for her 5th birthday she loves it I especially love that came earphones and a microphone because she can plug a plug them up and I hear her singing and she has the ball trying to follow the light I do recommend this come with everything.

I am so pleased with this product! My daughter just loves it and she is learning to play piano so this is great for her to practice on.
