I was in the market for a new pair of sunglasses, and while visiting Disney Spring in Florida, I stopped by Sunglasses Hut which had quite a good collection of nice ones. After trying a few pair, I found those Costa Del Mar Brine Sunglasses with blue lenses which I really liked. The vendor also told me that those had actual glass lenses and not plastic, which is also supposed to make them more scratch resistant. I always had sunglasses with plastic lenses, so I was pretty glad to know about this interesting glass material upgrade (the "G" after the model number means "glass"). But I was still at Disney, and already Sunglasses Hut's prices are known for being quite high, combined by Disney location = asked price was like $270 !!! So I thanked the vendor and said i wasn't interested after all, then ran to my hotel and ordered those same sunglasses on Amazon at $160 ! :D I was glad to receive the genuine Costa Del Mar glasses too, since there is apparently lot of fake going around on line. But since I saw how the genuine looked like in my hands at the shop, I knew right away that those were authentic. Funny enough, the super pricey one Sunglasses Hut wanted to sell me didn't came with the original packaging, which came with the glasses ordered on Amazon. So another good surprise right there. As for the glasses, they are light, comfy and seems to block the light just the right way, while giving you some kind of blue-ish vision, but which is the clearest I ever seen in all the sunglasses I worn before. So in short... GOOD: - Lightweight - Looks great and have a nice design - Comfy to wear even for a long period of time - Have vents on the side for added cooling while running with those - Block all the bad light like a charm - Tested and Polarized verified ! - Comes with a nice hard carrying & storage case with premium quality lens cleaning cloth - Clear vision and get easily forgotten - Comes with apparently lifetime warranty (need to check still about this) NOT SO GOOD: - Pricey !

I brought these Costas because after having the last pair for 8 years, I accidentally stepped on them and broke them. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find any, I heard Costa sold out to another company and didn’t have the warranty they used to have. I happened to catch them on sale on Amazon so I snagged me a pair. These Brines are the most comfortable sunglasses I’ve ever worn. A lot of people ask me why I pay so much for a pair of sunglasses, but like I said, my last pair lasted 8 years until I broke them. I truly got my moneys worth.

Got mine the other day. Replacement for a pair I bought at the store 3 weeks ago and lost them paddleboarding. 😬 I paid twice as much in the store for the ones I bought here. The sunglasses are awesome but I will warn the Costa junkies out there. Mine don't have the standard 580 etching instead they were etched with Costa. I was obviously concerned about the origin of the lenses (frames were definatley Costa). At this point so I contacted Costa and here was their response: Thank you for contacting us. Congratulations on your new Costas, that is exciting! We can confirm that the "Costa" etched lens, rather than the "580", is in fact an authentic Costa product, and the lenses are the 580 lens technology. This version was a part of a small batch which were to be sold exclusively overseas, and they have now made their way to the US. As always, these lenses will come with the standard limited lifetime warranty, when applicable, just as any other Costa eyewear. Nice glasses. They are a little tighter than my Oakley's of the same size. Best polarization I've ever had in glasses. The case that came with the glasses broke within 36 hours of receiving it - zipper broke. Fabric on the case was worn and frayed before opening box it was shipped in.

I had a fall and broke one of the lenses and to my surprise, the frame was undamaged, just the lens. I originally paid $136.00 for the glasses 3 years ago and due to inflammation, the same pair cost me $280.00, and it was totally worth it. I recommend these glasses highly!

These Costas are the best. Fit, feel, form, function, style, etc....Great price on Amazon. Genuine authentic Costa as long as you're buying from Amazon. Others may be legit but research well if buying other than Amazon. Get the 580g only. The glass lens are the best. Polycarbonate is not as clear, scratches easy, and not nearly as good as the glass.
