After using CeraVe resurfacing serum as my retinol for three years, I ran out and had a sample of this COSRX retinol 0.1% cream on hand. I decided to go ahead and use it since I was out of my normal stuff anyways… and boy am I glad that I made the switch. I’m very grateful for the many years I had with my old product, but this product is on a different level! After my tube was completely of the sample size I immediately went and bought the full-size. The texture is great and is super lightweight. It almost feels like a lotion, I don’t really like oily products in this product does not be like that at all. It has a good consistency. I have absolutely no complaints. I am in love with this company. Almost everything that I use is by them except for a few items. I am 32 years old and I have combination dry to oily skin. I also have eczema and have been having hormonal breakouts for the first time in my life as an adult! My skin care routine is my favorite thing in the morning and the night so when I put on my skin is very important to me and I do tons of research before even consider considering a product.. especially considering all of the factors that I have to deal with when it comes to my skin type. My skin barrier is finally balanced and my breakouts happen very seldomly. I haven’t even had eczema breakout in over a year now. That has not to do only with this product but with many of COSRX products. Thank you so much COSRX for creating another rockstar product !!! ... show more

    • Gentle retinol, but still effective!
I really like this product since tretenoin was too harsh for my skin. I only use as needed probably less than once a week. but i especially like to use it when i notice my skin becoming congested/break out starting and during the winter since we’re not in the sun as often so it’s safer. Literally by the next morning, it seems to stop breakout in its tracks. I see some reviews had some bad eye reactions and I just want to say be careful with using retinol in the under eye area. You “can” but you probably want to avoid it, the under eye skin area is very delicate and much thinner than the rest of our face. In fact you will find most retinol products telling you to avoid the eye area on the package…unless it’s sold as an eye cream. Just a tip! And if you’re peeling a lot from this, you’re probably using it too often and or not moisturizing enough. Like I said I only use this once every other week, which is to avoid irritation/peeling. Also, I noticed the info says you can use this in the day with spf, which is surprising because dermatologists would tell you to only use retinol before bed at night. This is because it is both safer (retinol makes your skin sensitive to uv rays) and just convenient (your skin “heals” overnight, working alongside the retinol). Also, not to invalidate some of the ladies who shared their photos of their reactions but if you have very smooth skin, hardly visible pores with no signs whatsoever of aging and you’re not prone to breakouts, you really don’t need to use retinol and probably shouldn’t because it can damage the skin barrier with long term use or if you don’t moisturize enough, so ladies who CAN benefit from retinol are using it because the reward of that is greater than the risk of the skin barrier issue…no offense but I do think people should read about these “heavier” chemical skincare treatments before just buying… But luckily this product is a much gentler version of prescribed retinol. I really love this product in moderation. Just one use at night and the next morning I definitely notice a difference! Thanks for reading :) ... show more

This product works. After one month of usage, I can see results. I recommend using sunscreen after applying this product. I wrote this review because I wasn't sure where to begin with retinol. I chose this product based on other reviews. I am confident in my support of this product for reducing fine lines on neck. ... show more

I’m not joking you when I say this little thing has some might. The first time I used it I couldn’t believe how soft my skin was the next morning, baby bottom soft. I got it to take a break from prescription tretinoin during the summer, give my skin a summer break;) because my skin gets a little more sensitive and dry when I use tretinoin for a prolonged period of time and though this is not as strong as tretinoin, it’s very moisturizing and lightly exfoliating my skin without the dryness and patchiness. I love, love, love it but I hate the smell. The only way I can describe it as it smells like onions to me. It has that kind of pungent smell, first time I used it I thought it’s gone bad but I tell that the benefits outweigh the smell. Totally worth it. I bought a second one as I’m almost done with the first and it’s dropped in price by $7 so I’m happy about that. Some people mentioned that it’s very small but I only use a pea size and it lasts me over a month if used everyday which is pretty good deal to me. I highly recommend for anyone with sensitive skin and as a great substitute for tretinoin or just a substitute for when your skin needs a little break from harsh retinoids.     • Smells wicked bad!
This stuff STINKS!!! I only used it twice. I’m not sure I can continue to use it since I can’t tolerate the scent. It takes awhile to fade. I’m looking into trying another product before or after this with a different and stronger scent in hopes that it will I’ll help cover it up. I will update my review in the future if I figure something out. I really wanted to like this product since I literally bought half the facial cosmetic line from this company. So far all the different the snail recreation products are top notch. Still have a lot of other products of theirs that I just bought to try in combination with the snail stuff. So I’m hoping the other products do not smell like this stuff! ... show more
