This is my second more recent build at home and I have used Corsair in both builds and had no issues. The last pair lasted several years without any issues. I trust these enough to have started using them in builds at work. In my case I have 4 of these installed for a total of 32GB. To get to the 3200Mhz advertised clock speed you will likely need to access the BIOS settings since these will default to 2133Mhz when first installed unless your BIOS settings had already been changed: For Intel: Enable XMP For AMD: Enable DOCP (as was the case for me) I also didn't change any of the advanced settings that popped up after enabling DOCP (this is where you can easily get into trouble unless you really know what you are doing) and have been running at 3200Mhz for a few days now with 0 issues. I know results may vary, but I really recommend going ahead and enabling the BIOS options to fully utilize these at their advertised and rated frequency.

This is my second purchase of this memory. First 16GB pair worked flawlessly in ASUS TUF B450-PRO motherboard. Just enabled XMP settings and the system is extremely stable at 3200MHz. I got this second pair to increase my memory and it was a disaster so far. It is exactly the same memory according to the utilities like CPUZ. Model number is the same and chips are Samsung. My PC however does not like it at all. It would not post at faster than 2800MHz and when it runs it does not run stable. Random crashes. I run memtester and memtestX86 all night and both run without any errors. But Windows is crashing. I found by accident that a good test is to verify large archives with 7zip, something like NVDIA driver package. If seemingly normal archive produces errors with random files every time, your memory is the problem. Windows sfc /scannow command also produced errors even in safe mode. After removing the second pair of sticks all is back to normal. I am exchanging these and see if it was just a bad pair. It is possible that quality control is not adequate. I will update my review after I get the new pair. UPDATE: The new pair behaves exactly the same except it does not run at all at 2800MHz. The fastest I could get it to run is 2733MHz. The memory runs stable at that speed, no issues. I believe that Ryzen 2700 can't run 4 DIMMs at anything higher than 2800. On the positive side, the memory only needs to run at 1.25V to be stable at 2733MHz so it runs cooler. At 1.2V it is not quite stable in all conditions. Remember that nominal voltage for this is 1.35V to run XMP mode so 1.25V is quite good. If this is your first 2 DIMMs, just get 32GB pair. Otherwise not much can be done aside from replacing a pair of 8GB with a pair of 16GB. If you want 16GB and not planning to upgrade, this memory works just fine.

Buy beware before purchasing this RAM. You MUST do your homework about this RAM before proceeding to purchase. My review is not a knock on this product at all. It’s my own lack of knowledge regarding XMP and overclocking. Today’s PCs are not like the “old days” where you can just buy compatible RAM and install with comparably clocked/type of RAM. This RAM is advertised as 3200 MHz, which it is when overclocked/managed using XMP. My store bought gaming rig is an ASUS Rog that doesn’t have an XMP setting in the BIOS. Therefore, I am unable to achieve the 3200 MHz overclock speed, but instead get the native 2133 MHz. The RAM that does exist in my PC has a native clock of 3200 MHz, but once paired with this Corsair RAM, slows to the lower 2100 MHz speed. The point of this review is to not deter you from buying this RAM. My son has it in his custom built PC and it’s high performance and highly recommended. Also, he now has doubled his RAM as a result of my own lack of understanding of this product…a win-win for him….lol.

Was packaged nicely, easy to install, recognized straight away in boot and my computer is definitely showing reaping the benefits. Great for video editors, and if the RAM isn’t enough, then look into upgrading the GPU next. After Effects was crashing due to RAM overload, realized I needed to upgrade from 16GB, and After Effects is running so much better now. Almost perfect at this point. Can’t go wrong with this brand and I’ll make sure to get 2 more, or upgrade to the 2x64GB whenever I feel like upgrading again. Would’ve gotten more pics but I’m reviewing a day after installation

Grabbed this for a budget build due to being cheaper despite my CPU only supporting 2993 (non-XMP) and the CPU/MOBO only supporting 3200mhz under XMP OC. MOBO defaulted down to 2144mhz but I popped it up to 2993 with no issues so far. I'm not a huge gamer or overclocking/FPS hound so I'm ok with not going above the non-OC max of my Ryzen CPU. Again, I grabbed the 3200 set due to being slightly cheaper than slower models for a short time. So far so good!

I liked the price I didn't want to pay the RGB tax for my ram since my case is about contrast so these pitch black ram sticks matched my motherboard against my all white case and fans. essentially it's white cooling parts and all black parts that produce heat. the hardware side of things these things rip and tear through all my games i own and i haven't capped them out yet.

So, the exact verbiage in the item listing is a little daft so I thought I was maybe getting a pair of single sticks (not exactly a deal-breaker) but was pleased to receive a "proper" matched pair of sticks. Being that in a year or two I'll probably order a couple more of these and bump the vmhost they're going in up to 64Gb of RAM (and this is far from the only set of these in this house) I'm pretty sure they'll still be making them then.

Ram arrived in great condition. Not much to say about the actual ram. I installed it and it works as its supposed to. This come with two (2) eight gig ram. Three years ago I got two of this same brand and just boosted my ram up to 32 gigs. This is overkill for most if not all games out there right now. You'll be good with 16 gigs of ram for video gaming. I just didn't want two empty spots on my motherboard.
