i love the fans. they are great aesthetically and performance wise. I previously had their QX120 fans which I had to run at higher rpms to have performance, but were too loud. These LX120-R fans are way better at cooling and you don have to look at the rear frames.

Perfect for showing off the fans vs the backside in a build where you want to have fans on the same side as the motherboard set as intake. Cable management is also an absolute breeze and godsend with the new icue Link system only one cable was needed for all 3 fans.

If only someone has come up with these a decade or so ago, would have made everyone's life so much easier. I do love building my computers, always have. But wiring fans has always been about as much fun as a root canal sans anesthetics. These take all that pain and aggravation away. Stack them up, screw them down, run your one cable back to the controller, maybe run your jumper cable to the next stack of fans and be done with it all. No more farting around for hours trying to connect motor and RGB cables to one controller or the next while keeping it somewhat logical for later reference. Yes, they're a touch pricey. But so are any other decent quality fans. I've always had good luck with Corsair fans holding up over the long run. Really cannot recommend these enough. ... show more

It honestly is crazy how many cases have optional spots for fans on the back side or bottom, which would be intake fans, but how few manufacturers offer reverse fan blade options. Corsair had come up with their QL options, which had a shine Corsair ship logo on the back side, not just a label and a RGB ring on the back side in addition to the front, which makes them a little less unsightly, but not perfect. Now to the set backs with these. I have worked with a few of the new iCue AIO CPU Coolers, so I have a little experience with the cables that are used to connect the fans to the hub/controller and/or to another set of fans and had already run into the issue of them providing only 90° connectors on the short cables that would be used in these situations. This causes issues with placement, as the cables are thick and the connector on the fans attached to the AIO are too close to the in/out hoses to have the cable that way, so I have run into issues with not being able to close the side of the case due to the cable protruding. Mind you they will sell you two cables with both straight ends for $20... Now I will say that this kit comes with a longer cable, which if I recall correctly has a 90° on one side and Straight on the other, so you can pick which side you want to use for the fans and the controller, but the problem I ran into was that there was not enough clearance above or below the fans for the connection and very little room for the thicker round cable that must be run. One solution on this H6 Flow case from their competitor would be to cut out a hole in the bottom, which would be out of sight once the fans were installed or the option I chose, which was just wedging it in there at the top, which prevented me from securing the last case/fan screw on the top fan and leaves a little gap, but you can only notice it if you are at eye level or lower, so odds are no one that sees your case would ever know this exists. As you can see from the two photos I provided it really isn't visible, but there needs to be an option that helps these situations. Also the bottom fans in the cutout, just LX140-R models, were a bit of a struggle as well, as there are walls on the sides of the cutout. They worked out fine, but I remember being worried about connecting them and if the 3 pack of 120s didn't come with an additional iCue Link box I would have had to spend money on a longer cable. All and all nice fans, with some drawbacks. I guess when I am shelling out $200 for 5 fans I don't think that having to spend another $20+ for an additional cable should be something that I run into, but hey that is just my humble opinion. ... show more

I already buy one, and get error of icue Hub (Device Unknown in Device Manager) when used for 2 days. Then i re-order another package of Corsair LX120 R and get the same error after 2 weeks using it. That was a bad experience and i need to return this product. Same error for 2 package?
