  • Not what I ordered, but in a good way!
Color: Black Size: 360mm AIO
Before I buy any cooling system, I do a lot of research on the difficulty of install. This one is medium, BUT the advertised fan/RGB controller made it worth the effort. I really wanted it for the LCD display to show temps and load, but figured IF i'm getting RGB I want it easy. I open the box to find that all the parts I've studied are not the same as what I've received. The newer model apparently tried to simplify install even more, COOL! So, instead of me running RBG connectors and fan connectors to a single unit, plus the cables to the MoBO and PSU...NOTHING installs to the mount on the CPU, which I love because that's a pain if you need to unplug and plug in. Instead, there is a distribution unit (built into the radiators and fans which came preassembled!) That unit takes Three plugs. Two proprietary from a proprietary HUB (one to pass through power, one to power fans *the second one is short and goes right into the fan block beside the unit), and a USB-C that links to a USB 2.0 Y cable, that goes from 2-1 on the mobo. The proprietary HUB Runs ONE of the Propietary cables to the above mentioned unit, the OTHER goes into ANOTHER power slot on the fans. Additionally, three more cables come off the HUB. One is a Micro USB that goes to a USB 2.0 (mentioned above with the Y adapter) Another is a little 2 pin that adapts to the CPU FAN pin on the MoBo, and the third was my ONLY problem...a spare 6-pin from the PSU. The original product has a SATA connector, so I didn't have a Modular 6 extra on hand. Fortunately I had in my PC PARTS dumping ground. That was a huge pain because anyone trying to do a 'Clean' build has all their cables jammed in the backside, and I'm no different. If I had known in advance I would have prepared myself, but considering all the other convenience of this upgrade, I'm not complaining. Needed two updates on ICUE (I had Corsair RAM so was preinstalled) and their system isn't user friendly IMO, but didn't take long and got it running super smooth. I've dropped 12 (67-55) degrees on mild adjusted settings, so I'm stoked. (Ryzen 9 7900 was apparently DESIGNED to run hot, of course I didn't learn this until months after I bought it) I hate having my CPU above 75. Anyway, cheers, 4/5 smooth install, 5/5 convenience, 5/5 aesthetic, 3/5 ease of use on light control and customization for cooling ... show more

  • Good hardware bad software
Color: White Size: 360mm AIO
Slightly biased to Corsair products as I have used them for many years. Pros: Keeps my CPU cool when gaming no matter what game. Cool RGB that is bright with vibrant colors. Displays temperature of the coolant on the screen. Easy to wire as all these fans use one wire. Cons: Corsair software is very annoying to use. A few times it deleted all my fan curves I setup. Sometimes one of my fans decides to be a different color than the rest. (I just click on the mural again and that fixes it). Due to these fans all using the same wire you get roped into only have these fans. (Depending on your setup/how you look at it can be good or bad). ... show more

  • A guilty-pleasure splurge
Color: White Size: 360mm AIO
In terms of cooling results, while I don't have a huge breadth of basis for comparison, this cooler seems to keep my 7800X3D AMD processor down to the neighborhood of the high 40s/low 50s during casual use, and spiking to the 70s when stress-tested to 100% load, well under the 89 degree safe limit (all temps given in Celsius). The included QX120 fans look lovely and work fine. But the LCD screen and the lights on the pump are a gorgeous centerpiece for one's build. Obviously these are a complete waste if you don't have an open or transparent case, but if you do, you can customize the aesthetics and data displayed pretty extensively in iCue. I'd love it if there was some way to do an FPS counter on it, but you can track things like CPU and coolant temperatures, overlay them on custom animations that are easy to set up, customize multiple rows of LEDs around it, and it just looks great. It does whine a bit when running on Balanced settings, but only to a degree that's noticeable if there's pretty much nothing else in the room making noise. You can save about $60 (at time of writing) if you get the non-LCD variant, but I'm actually very glad I splurged. It's the crown jewel of my current build in terms of beautifying elements - almost useless from a functionality perspective unless you really want to closely monitor your temps, but it looks SO good! Everything needed to set it up in iCue, including the link hub and a long cable to hook it up, is included. You may need an additional 500mm Link cable if you're going to have more than six fans total (counting the three already attached to the radiator) in order to route some of them to the other port on the hub, as each port supports up to 7 devices, and the LCD screen counts as one, but if you get one of the Corsair fan three-packs, I believe that should be included and you'll be nicely set. I will caution about the included QX120 fans: While the ones mounted to the radiator have been fine for me, two I ordered separately have had problems with scraping/grinding noises and had to be returned. You may want to keep an eye on that. ... show more
