  • Quiet and cool
Needed more cooling. I had to drill four holes, but it fit in my case and lowered the CPU temperature without any noise.

  • Easy to install coolness
My son says the difference between his air cooler and this is “staggering”. Great for overclocking gamers.

  • Terrible instructions but works well
The unit came with no instructions and no URL of where to find them. Those I located were in a zillion languages with only the minimum of info. The supplied screws seem to be philips-head, but were non-standard and my screwdrivers kept caming out. I had to grind one down a little. And the wiring! If you don't have a "Commander" (whatever that is), well, good luck. I did finally get it all connected and, so far, find it keeps my I9-12900K cool as a cucumber. This replaced an Artic-brand cooler that kept failing, and the CPU temperatures are much lower than with the Artic. At idle the cores run in the teens or low 20s C. When I slam all of the cores with processing 1000 astrophotography images with Pixinsight (100 MB each) the cores run 60 to 75C - not bad at all. ... show more

  • PC was super hot, now cold
Had an old one stop working or something. Whole room was hot. Now it's cool again. Kind of expensive....more than they used to be. But whatever...

  • Poor quality for the price
Really wanted this to work so I could stay mostly Corsair on my build but it's just not cutting it. Doesn't have a lot of flexibility in terms of mounting to different spots in a case (no extra holes so you can adjust things a bit). When it finally did get installed the pump LEDs only worked for a few weeks and even then they never really showed up in iCue for customization nor did the pump speeds ever show up in any monitoring tool. Now the pump LEDs are dead and the only indication the pump is still working is that the CPU stays pretty cool. Then one of the fans started acting up and getting real noisy so swapped it out with a working fan from another manufacturer to limp the build along for a while. Finally just purchased a different, cheaper, bigger, AiO from another big name company that I know works reliably but just wasn't available when this rig was being built. The reviews that say the fans are a problem and the warranty process is a pain seem to be pretty accurate. If you're buying an AiO you're probably looking for quiet and this one just doesn't qualify if the fans start squealing after a few months. ... show more

  • Quite the literal smoke show!
I was upgrading my system to a Z690/13700K when I decided to beef up the cooling with this product. I had been running an H100i on my 2 previous systems and it worked very reliably. I'm glad I decided to upgrade when I did because the H100i had started leaking from right above the CPU. It lasted almost 8 years. This newer, more expensive cooler wasn't too difficult to install. I have been building my own machines for 20 years and made sure everything wads connected to the right places. When I started up my PC, the wiring harness for from the Sata power connector and the USB header started to smoke like crazy. I immediatly cut power and surveyed the damage. I was happy to see that it wasn't the motherboard or CPU smoking. I was very unhappy about the fact that I would have to uninstall everything to remove this cooler. Before I disconnected the harness I double checked to make sure everything was plugged into the right place. Once I got the harness out of the case I examined it and saw a few of the wires had melted their insulation right off. There has got to be a short to ground in this harness. I tested my power supply and it was still good. I hoped to hell that nothing on the MB was damaged. I decided to ho with a Noctua air cooler and everything has been working fine thank god! After a quick google seach and a search through these reviews and some reviews on other sites I have found that this is not an isolated incident. Corsair, you need to do better QC!!! Could have destroyed $1200 worth of parts! My AIO days are over for now! ... show more

  • Fan unit is failing after just a few months
I keep my PC elevated to reduce dust and extend the life of components, it's at least 40 inches off the floor at all times. I also have a very good corsair case that has excellent screens and the cable management allows for a lot of space. However this unit is is making a great deal of noise intermittently after just a few months, I work and commute and when I am not riding mountain bikes or eating/sleeping I have some spare time to use this PC. The rest of the time it is off or asleep. The point being that the PC that this unit is installed in is used intermittently and occasionally because I am very busy. My expectation is that this type of cooling unit would last for many years without needing replacement or repair. I can say confidently that the value is sub-par for the unit that I received. It may very well work for a while still but the aggravation and worry that I could be doing damage to my CPU at some point is an ever present frustration. Particularly when you pay good money for something that is supposed to be a premium product. ... show more

  • Fans fail in weeks
Purchased Feb 12, installed a week later. Both fans failed early March. Had a fan making a rattling noise, and by the time I got in to check on it the fan had frozen, and the second fan is now rattling. Replaced them with Noctua 2000 RPM fans- lower noise spec 31.5dBA vs 33.5dBA, 3x the pressure rating and at 4 mmH2O vs 0.9 mmH2O (higher is better for a radiator), and nearly twice the airflow at that higher pressure (much better cooling). Not happy. Will buy a different brand next time around. ... show more
