I dropped the XR5 240mm into a secondary loop where space was tight, and it handled the job like a pro. The 30mm thickness paired with a premium copper core and 25-micron fins gives it solid thermal transfer—temps stayed stable even under load. It’s not a monster like the XR7, but for a dual 120mm setup, it punches above its size. Installation was smooth thanks to the integrated fan screw guides, and the matte black polyurethane coating looks sharp without drawing attention. Standard G1/4" threads make it easy to integrate with existing fittings, and the build quality feels premium despite the compact form. If you’re building a smaller loop or need a reliable radiator for a GPU or CPU segment, the XR5 240mm delivers. Just don’t expect it to cool an entire high-wattage rig solo—it’s a team player, not a solo act.

I have an i7 10700k, and a PNY RTX 3080. During gaming or eth mining VRAM temperatures could rise up to 100 degrees celsius. With two 360mm slim radiators, an XD5, and a water block for the 3080 installed in my system the VRAM averages about 74.9 degrees celsius now. While my GPU temp goes up to about 41 degrees celsius. When not gaming or mining, temps are at 21 degrees celsius for the GPU and 30 degrees celsius for the VRAM. My CPU is at around 51 max, and 36 degrees celsius at idle. These work great for a parallel setup because their resistance is pretty similar to the CPU and GPU water block resistance. This was my first liquid cooling build and I was nervous, but it was really similar to working on a car cooling system, and using an air pressure tester from EKWB made leak testing great. Tried my best to hide the soft tubing, but I think the computer looks a lot better and performs a lot better. Update 3/25/21: The Corsair Commander Pro I have doesn't seem to work properly with the temperature sensor, so I just plugged in the XD5 pump into the AIO header on my mobo. Averaging about 37 degrees celsius on my 3080 and GPU memory junction temperature averages 77.3 degrees celsius now during ETH mining and gaming. CPU basically stays at 30 to 45 degrees celsius during load. Great radiators, kind of wish I got the thicker XR7, but can always add it in the future.

If you like a while radiator look then this will make your pc look awesome. They are really good quality and do help cool your pc like it should. They have lasted a long time in my computer build with no issues. No leaks and the coating is tough which I like.

So far they look great. I haven't actually finished the build yet, I tend to buy things install them to see if they fit and how they look. Once everything is in my hands I'll do a proper install. I assume they will be great, I'm using a dual pump, resivoir build. I don't expect them to be overloaded. They come with plenty screws for any kind of a install. The build quality is very good. Not as heavy as let's say my Heat killer rads. But they are also thicker so I assume that is why. I needed a slimmer rad especially at the bottom have to have room for the tubing once I start installing the VC tubes. I know the pictures aren't the greatest. But I didn't take them for a review, I'll update them later.

There is a handful of radiator selections for the corsair water cooling line with some thin, some thick, and then different measurements. I recommend making sure which size will fit your case as I originally got this one, the 240mm one and a 360mm thick one. Turned out the way I wanted to put stuff in my case there was no way the 360 would fit so I ended up getting a second 240mm thin one which allowed me to put one on the top of my case and on the bottom. Both of them got two fans to cool them. In the icue software you can make your own profiles or in the setup if you have the hydro x pump it will go through a wizard and ask which ports on your commander pro (sold separately but definitely needed for the corsair setup) has the pump and which ones have the fans. I found even during heavy graphics everything stayed nice and cool. The radiators can get hot which is the idea. As far as the radiator itself? I found it solid and really unless you are doing some serious overclocking, the 240mm radiators I found did the job just fine. I think this is a good time to get into corsair's line of water cooling if you are thinking about it as early on the icue software was buggy and difficult to manage. Now I find it is very stable and while there is a learning curve, once you learn it you really do have complete control of the Temps in your computer.
