I bought the HX750 to allow my PC to be more power efficient, as the original PSU, an EVGA 850GQ (which still works perfectly fine!) was in use for over 6 years and was slowly starting to show its age. The other side of this batch of upgrades included going from a Ryzen 7 3700X to a Ryzen 7 5800X, then a GTX 1080 to Radeon 6700XT, and then bumping from 16 GB 3000 Mhz C15 to 32 GB 3600 Mhz C18. This sucker has been running both under full load without overloading and runs unbelievably quiet while doing so, kudos to Corsair for that level of design. As an added bonus my PC has had significant improvements in overall power efficiency. The only thing I honestly didn't like was the price, a$40 price difference between the Gold rated RM750X and the HX750. But after seeing how much it improved my PC's power efficiency it's proven itself to be worth that extra $40. If you are looking for a decent 80+ Platinum PSU this is a strong contender despite the price. ... show more

I have installed the power supply yesterday, in my Fractal Design Meshify C. I managed to get it in with the HDD cage pushed all the way back against the case fan, no biggy. I switched from a GS600, which was a non-modular power supply, which meant a lot of useless cables stuffed in my case. This power supply fit great, albeit a bit long. I bought this because of an issue I had. I have a UPS, and sometimes while gaming with the A/C on, the power in my room would surge and the PC will shut down and restart on its own, which is a pain in the ass (plus, might be dangerous for the components inside). On other times the PC wouldn't post and I had to power cycle the PC in order for it to post. I never owned a platinum rated power supply, and I definitely didn't need 850W, but for the seemingly small difference in price it was worth the option to upgrade my components down the line (which will happen since I'm using a 3770K + GTX 970) I would recommend this unit based on looks and modularity alone, reliability shall be tested :) ... show more

Runs my desktop with a Ryzen 7 5800X3d, Nvidia RTX 4080, 280mm liquid CPU cooler, 6 case fans, 4 Nvme SSDs, 64 GB of RAM and case lights with ease. Fan is quiet and I hear nothing that others refer to as coil whine. Only thing is that it doesn't have the new 12 volt connector that is used on the Nvidia high end cards so you will need an adapter, which may not be a bad thing if your connector fails on your GPU, at least you will only have to replace the adapter harness if it damages the harness connector plug. ... show more

However I ordered the last one on I could find here and it turned out to be an HX1000 without the (i). Great power supply I should have went with corsair to begin with, I bought the evga supernova 1000watt and ended up having nasty coil whine sounded like electricity was arcing inside of it and got worse with more load I couldnt stand it so sent it back decided to go with this one even though its technically not as powerful it has the platinum rating compared to the evga which was gold. So far since ive had this unit I dont get any coil whine sometimes i may hear a very faint noise from it but honestly all power supplies will have a very small amount of coil whine as well as gpu's when you are running at full tilt and high fps. The only Cons I can find with this unit are the cables they need to be a tad bit longer and theres heat shrink like half an inch from the connector which makes it very stiff and hard to bend especially the atx power cables for the motherboard. ... show more
