I got my first set of Corelle dishes in September 2004. They're over 20 years old and still in great shape! The ONLY time I've had one break is when I had it in the freezer for several hours and dropped it. Totally my fault and not Corelle's! I needed some smaller plates and wanted Corelle brand. My original set just has the big dinner plates and bowls. I came across these and ordered four sets to have 24 plates. These are the perfect size for smaller meals and/or children!! We've had them for nearly 8 months now, dropped them so many times, and none have broken. They do not scratch easily at all, they get really clean in the dishwasher but the dishwasher doesn't beat them up at all like some dishes. I love the pure clean white color of these too. I will always buy Corelle dishes because the quality is unmatched!! ... show more

We’ve been using Corelle dishes for many years—I think they are the best dishes available. I recently inherited a mixed set of the patterns “pansy” and “summer blush” both of which were retired some time ago—but did not come with any lunch plates. The “replacements” are not common and are way too expensive for me—so I decided to order the plain white because I can mix and match to go with my pansy patterns. Although they label the color “winter frost white”—it’s plain white to me. I love Corelle dishes because they are lightweight, a stack of many of them takes little space in the kitchen cabinet, they are dishwasher safe, they can take a beating for many years and still look like new, and they are suitable for a “nice” dinner as well as a “casual” dinner. I think that the company no longer advertises them as “unbreakable”, but in all the years of using various patterns of Corelle dishes, I think maybe one has broken ever. They are simply the best. P.S. the lunch size plates are the perfect size for “light” dinners. We use them for most all meals. UPDATE: Our house has ceramic tile floors and I’ve always said that anything dropped is guaranteed to break. Well tonight I dropped one of these Corelle dishes and....it DID NOT break! Amazing! Really like this Corelle Vitrelle 6-piece salad plate set. Like the thin and lightweight, but strong design, the white frost color, and the easy-cleanup since the plates have a smooth bottom without a protruding ridge running around the plate like most ceramic plates.

Beautiful in WHITE. They go with anything. Plain, simple, back to "simplicity" for me. They seem on the "thin" side, but I've had Corelle before and they should last a while.

We bought our first Corelle Vitrelle Winter Frost dishware about 30 years ago and have been pleased that this minimalist pattern has always been readily available when I needed to add to my collection. As grandchildren became more numerous we've had to expand our collection. 30 years later the new pieces are still identical to the originals. As they say, if it works, don't fix it. It is also easy to match with other manufacturer's white ware if you need an item Corelle doesn't make such as a lazy Susan for veggie trays and dip and other oddities. My wife and I have been through numerous sets of glass drinkware because we can be quite clumsy however we've never had to replace a single Corelle dish due to wear or breakage.
