They are sturdy. lightweight. and absolutely astounding. I traveled to Florida with friends who have 5 kids under the age of 7 (at that time) The oldest was goofing off at supper and dropped one of our hosts plate. On the tile floor. I thought he was going to crawl into the tile grout. ( I think he did too) but much to his relief, it didn't break. or chip, or crack. And he stopped goofing around. I had his mom pick out the design, and that was their housewarming. I've been over to their home twice, they use it regularly and even the 4 year old is handling plates well. My only complaint is the patterns.. She loves theem, I long for black and white checks on the rims.. or at least bolder colors and better designs. But these are well worth the investment if you have kids you're trying to train and you want sturdy and pretty.\\ UPDATE: They've had this set for nearly a year, with 5 kids under the age of 9. No cracks, breaks, chips, still in perfect condition, and all but the baby ( 1 yr 5 mo) use them. She loves the pattern, and they take up very little space in her cabinets. I haven't had to purchase new Corelle dishes because they are so durable but wanted a new pattern. Love the size of the cereal bowls and the blue pattern is so clean and classy! Of course, Corelle is scratch and stain resistant so even spaghetti 🍝 sauce is no match! I love this set and will buy more pieces! ... show more

Love how light these are, nicely durable. The design is really pretty, exactly like in the pic. They fit really nicely into each other which reduces the amount of space they take, unlike traditional plates. They're durable enough that I feel relatively calm letting my 4 year old eat out of it.

These plates are beautiful. They are not too thick but also not too thin. We think the value and the size are fair considering the quality. We have never had one come out of the dishwasher that was not clean. We highly recommend these plates.
