  • Cordoba Fusion 5 a keeper
Color: Jet Black
This was an upgrade for me from the Cordoba CM3 & I must say, I feel it’s quite an upgrade. I purchased it from Amazon Warehouse as “acceptable” condition, so was a little concerned but when it arrived it was packed in some kind of form fitting foam & in like new condition. I was debating the Cordoba GK studio at around $700 & couldn’t be happier with this Fusion, don’t think I’ll be outgrowing it. Action is great, no fret sprout, the Salvarez strings just sound so beautiful. I have tried many different brands, models of similar guitars, but they all had the wider classical neck, I would take either as far as neck width, but what won me over on this guitar is the sound. It doesn’t sound thin for a guitar of it’s size. Seems like many this size don’t sound good unless plugged in, & you just “put up” with a less than stellar acoustic sound. The fusion is very resonant & still sounds great when plugged in. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially at the warehouse deal I received. I’ve seen some reviews saying Amazon is getting “seconds” from Cordoba and they are subpar items. Definitely not my experience in this instance. ... show more

  • Be aware, these are Factory Rejects.
Color: Natural
In early November of 2022 I ordered this guitar from Amazon for $312, great price considering everybody else is selling it for $449. One week later the price dropped to $266. Amazon wouldn't match the lower price, they suggested for me to ship it back and get another at the lower price. Well this one had to go back anyway because it had problems. The wiring inside the guitar was loose and swishing around and the control knob had no effect on the tone what so ever. And the action was very high, and I couldn't sound down the saddle to lower the action because someone else had already done that to the point that anymore sanding would make the strings sit on the bridge and that is a "No No". I shipped it back. I ordered one more at $266. Two hours later I ordered a second one because of the awesome price. One guitar was shipped with UPS and one was shipped with USPS. The USPS arrived on schedule and the UPS one came two days late because by mistake it went to a different state then it had to be turned around. These two guitars were also problematic. I don't mind cosmetic blemishes because it doesn't effect functionality or sound. But, the problems with these guitar were very sloppy construction and craftsmanship that made these guitars unplayable and repair cost would be more than what I paid to buy them. Both guitars had a hump where the neck and body join, which caused fret buzz all over the fretboard. The one that arrived with UPS had a crack on the back of the body, and it also had loose wiring that swished around inside the body. And all three guitars had a lower amplified volume on the low E string. SO FRUSTRATING. First, shame on Cordoba for selling factory "Rejects"or "Seconds" or "B-stock" to it's sellers. Selling them at lower prices does not justify placing these unplayable guitars in public hands. Especially people who are buying a guitar for the very first time and don't know what to look for and blame themselves for not being able to play cleanly without fret buzz. I've been playing guitar for 47 years, and have purchased about 85 guitars and played hundreds of others in music stores and I do my own set-up and minor repairs. Shame on them for not advertising these guitars as "B-stock" or more appropriately "Rejects". These two are also going back. Shame! because all three had a beautiful sound acoustically. UPDATE:. I just purchased the same model of guitar at its regular price from a different dealer. It's a Regular / Perfect guitar. No flaws of any kind any where. It plays beautifully and sounds awesome and the built-in Fishman electronics amplifies all six strings at the same volume level and produces the bass notes beautifully. Yes, I paid more, but I got a much nicer and perfect guitar. I give this new guitar that I purchased from a different dealer a 5-star rating and the three guitars I ordered from Amazon a 1-star rating. I noticed that Amazon is now asking the regular price that all other dealers are asking. I hope they are now shipping the "Perfect" ones and not "B-stock". ... show more

  • Good, though one issue!
Color: Natural
The metal frets on the board in some places were longer than the wood the metal was on , in some places on the fret board on the one guitar from them is a good guitar really though the metal over the wood and longer over the wooden board is not safe at all for playing the guitar b/c would honestly cut your hands while playing or when moving along the fretboard ,b/c the frets were over or longer in some places on the fret board and interferes with playing safely , was unusual, just maybe a defect on this one guitar! Not all Cordobas have an issue like that , just the one I purchased. Though there are good guitars by Córdoba! I don’t like to say something derogative w/out saying something positive, the Matiz Guitar ‘s are excellent by Cordoba ! They are the Matiz Cordobas were perfect when I played one at the Guitar Shop ( Guitar Center) really beautiful! Ty O:) ... show more

I've seen worse, but this guitar is not worth $400. Frets on mine are ok, but electronics are loose in the sound hole. I'll have to glue it down or something. Also doesn't come with a strap button, but I'll add my own.

  • Not a keeper
Color: Jet Black
The overall quality of the guitar was acceptable, however, the high E string buzzed on the 6th and 11th fret. I probably would have kept the instrument if not for the buzz. I don't know if these discounted guitars are just factory rejects or not. But, I believe a brand new model without such defects would be a good purchase. ... show more

  • Package was shocking
Color: Brown
This guitar came in a box that wasn’t sealed and only wrapped in a very thin (and I mean paper thin) styrofoam wrap. I mean thin. This guitar was not protected at all. Luckily there wasn’t a dent on it but that was risky packaging. Guitar is beautiful and my son likes it. He has a Taylor and he plays this more. ... show more
