If that works, the original battery cells are likely damaged and need replacement. The socket won't fit onto the tool. What's wrong? Check the square drive for bent pins, debris, or rust that may block installation. Never use thin manual sockets – they can shatter under impact. Use only proper impact sockets. I love tools. As a young man I couldn't care less about fixing things, but as I've grown older (and started buying nicer stuff) I've learned how wonderful it is to get a broken thing going again. Or to upgrade. I spin wrenches on my vehicles a great deal so I like having good tools to make it a less painful job. I have a smaller impact but wanted a larger one with a case, so when I saw this listing I had to try it. It arrived in a plain box and contained the impact, case, batteries, charger, and sockets. It was all in excellent condition. So far this is a really nice impact. It's big and heavy, which I like. The trigger fires quickly and the impact does impact when there's resistance. It comes with two batteries and a charger. Each battery has a little display for current power so you can know when you're running low. There's a small flashlight on the bottom of this, near the battery, which is a good angle on an impact. The included sockets are all beefy and feel like impact ones. My only complaint is the case setup. It all works, but they went with foam instead of blown plastic and it's like they didn't pay much attention to the cutouts. The cutouts are a little off, especially for the sockets, and there are three sockets that don't even have a cutout, so I'll have to make ones myself. Overall this is a really nice impact, but they did themselves a disservice not really making the case setup right. Still, it's not enough to make me like the tool itself any less.

This impact wrench kit appears to be set up for vehicle wheel/tire servicing. The included sockets are sizes that are most popular with wheel lug nuts on many vehicles. Like mine. The impact wrench is strong! Easily loosens properly torqued lug nuts. When loosening a fastener, the impact wrench tops working when it determines the fastener is loose. A safety feature to prevent fastener fly away. A regular occurrence in automotive shops. Tightening a fastener is easy as well. The trigger is simple to control with no surprises of full power. The reversing switch has a positive feel, and you know when it has changed directions. The sockets seem to be quality. They are thin wall so as to fit in tight areas. They also appear to have what a large tool truck company calls "Flank Drive". A design that puts more force on the fastener's flat edge and not the hex point. The sockets are all metric, but as most experienced tool users know, some can be used on SAE sockets as well. Securing a socket to the wrench may be annoying. A pin is manually inserted through the socket and wrench anvil then held in place with an o-ring. These parts are included in the kit. The batteries so far have plenty of power. The indicators on them showed full charge out of the box. It did take over an hour each to bring them to full capacity according to the indicator on the charger. Unknown as to how long a battery will operate the wrench or hold it's charge. There are no markings on the batteries to assist in finding replacements. The manual states they are compatible with Makita 18-21V. They fit securely in the wrench. There is an unknown port in each battery for a possible unknown charger or to power another item. The charger works as it should. The case is nice. It has a place for almost everything in the kit. A couple sockets are homeless in the case, but are easily accommodated. Unless the foam insert is removed, there is no more room in the case for additional items. The bins on the case cover can hold additional accessories. This set will work well for a DIYer or to have for emergency use. I am not sure how well it would last in a real shop and used everyday. How it can handle normal shop abuse remains to be seen. An impact wrench worth considering.

I picked up this Puritron branded impact wrench after studying the specs and the competition to replace my air powered impact wrench I normally use to replace my mower blades. Gotta tell you I have been nothing but impressed with its power and utility. I almost didn't pick it because I don't currently use the same batteries in my home workshop. It does ship with two batteries and a charger though, so I took a bit of a chance on it and am happy with the choice. The two batteries charged overnight. I used the wrench to remove my zero turn blades right away. It has three bladed and is an industrial mower, so it takes a man sized wrench to take them off. No problem. Right away it powered them off. The included case is medium quality, but with care and handling it should also a lifetime I think. If it cracks or something I'll toss everything into a tool kit. wrench has forward and reverse. It also slows when the nut breaks, run away or auto stop, whatever it is called. nice feature so you don't spin the nut across the shop floor somewhere. I have no way to gage the newton force it is generating, but it is adequate for my needs and then some. quality is good. Nice metal construction and nicer impact plastic housing. Good quality tool built like a tank. VERY happy customer.

I wanted to share my feedback on this Puritron Cordless Impact Wrench. Given its price point, I didn't have high expectations, but I have been very pleasantly surprised by its performance. It easily compares to another impact wrench I own that cost four times as much! It comes as a complete kit, including two batteries, a selection of useful sockets and adapters, and a sturdy carrying case. Considering that two batteries alone often exceed the price of an entire set, it is an incredible value. Here are a few key highlights from my experience using it: - Power: I tested it on torqued SUV lug nuts, and it loosened them immediately without any lack of power. It performs extremely well on almost any stubborn screw or nut. - Features: It has a brushless motor for added power and longer battery life, as well as an integrated LED light. It offers three reverse speed settings and a brake-stop mode, which conveniently stops the tool once the fastener breaks loose. - Battery Compatibility: The manual states the included batteries are compatible with Makita 18V–21V tools (and vice versa), though I haven't tested this myself as I don't own Makita tools. Overall, my first impressions are excellent, and I will definitely be using it for future automotive and other projects.

I was pleasantly surprised by this cordless impact wrench. While I'm skeptical of the advertised 1,500 N·m (1,106 ft-lbs) torque rating, there's no denying that this is a seriously powerful tool. In real-world use, it has handled everything I've thrown at it, from removing stubborn tractor lug nuts to replacing suspension components and pressing through ball joint jobs without much effort. The brushless motor provides plenty of power, and the multiple speed settings make it easy to dial things back when you don't need full force. The included batteries have held up well during longer projects, and the built-in LED light is a nice touch when working in dimly lit areas. What impressed me most is how close this feels to my much more expensive pneumatic impact. I own a Mac air impact that cost several times more, and while this cordless unit may not match it in every situation, it's surprisingly close in overall performance. The convenience of not dragging around an air hose makes it even more appealing for many jobs. For the price, this impact wrench delivers exceptional value. If you're a DIY mechanic, farmer, or someone who regularly works on cars, trucks, tractors, or trailers, this tool has more than enough power for the vast majority of tasks. The torque specifications may be a bit optimistic, but the performance certainly isn't. Highly recommended.

I really didn't have especially high expectations for this impact wrench, but I've been pleasantly surprised. It's a very complete kit. You get two batteries, a selection of useful sockets and adapters, and a sturdy carrying case. Everything feels more substantial than I expected at this price. So far my actual testing has been limited, but it has been encouraging. I tried it on a couple of fully torqued automotive lug nuts and the wrench wasn't fazed by them—they came off immediately. I haven't attempted to verify the advertised 1,500 N·m torque figure, but based on this initial test it certainly has plenty of power for the work I've tried. There are three reverse speed settings plus a brake-stop mode. I particularly like the brake-stop feature, which stops the wrench after the fastener breaks loose rather than continuing to spin it off. Another pleasant surprise is that the manual states that the included batteries are compatible with Makita 18V–21V tools. I've primarily used Hitachi tools in the past, so having these batteries potentially opens up some interesting tool-only options for me. I still need considerably more use before I can comment on long-term durability, but my first impression is excellent. This is a powerful, well-equipped impact wrench that performed extremely well in my initial testing. I'll definitely be using it for future automotive work.

I ordered this impact wrench to perform routine maintenance of my vehicles since I rely more and more on cordless power tools to save me from manual efforts. The wrench set arrived well packed with the batteries fully charged. I was surprised that the wrench itself was quite substantial and well made. There were a couple slight scratches on the body, possibly sustained during the packing process. There are 7 socket wrenches, one extension and a small bag of O-rings and lock pins. I like it that the wrench comes with a carry case to store the parts, including a recharger. The foam material inside the case could be a bit more stout for extended use. And even though there are 7 sockets provided, there are only 5 holes in the foam. There's another pre-cut hole that wasn't hollowed out, so I hollowed it out by hand to store another socket, but the 7th one has to be stored together with the extension. The carry case also has two storage compartments on the outside, but the lid of one does not snap closed properly so I won't take a chance storing anything there in case it flips opened and I lose my stuff. The carry case could be built with thicker materials since half of the times, the lid doesn't close down straight and I have to wiggle it a bit to lock it down. The User Manual is clear except various misspelled words. Now about the wrench itself. It has 4 forward speeds and 3 reverse speeds and a reverse break-stop mode which I like very much. The speeds can be adjusted at the control panel which seems to light up only after you pull the wrench's trigger. After the wrench is started and stopped, you have perhaps 3 seconds to adjust the speed/mode before the lights go off. The "Speed Control" button is on the small side, and it took some playing with it to get it to adjust the speed. It's not easy to change speed if you have your work gloves on. Once you install a socket and insert the lock pin and secure it with an O-ring, you're ready for some work. The wrench is quite capable of removing rusted in bolts, and the break-stop mode comes in very handy. I will be keeping this tool set in the vehicle when it's not in use, in case I need to change tires. Overall, this wrench is of good quality at a reasonable price.
