Solid impact wrench that works with my existing DeWalt batteries. I like that it has an auto stop feature for reverse which is nice and it automatically activates when you switch to reverse. I haven't measured the torque output but this thing is a monster and I haven't been able to challenge its full capacity just yet. My previous compact DeWalt struggled to get lug nuts off but this thing is unphased by any challenges I give it. Tool size is bigger but with impact you should know that size matters. It's not too big to handle but just keep that in mind if you're looking for something for tight spaces. It should be fine for automotive suspension work, lugs, etc. I'm hoping to put it to the test with come concrete lag bolts later. It has 3 speed/torque settings that you can adjust. Battery life is great so far with my 8ah batteries. I can rotate tires on 2 vehicles and still have 3/3 bars remaining on battery life. Happy with it so far but I've had this for less than 1 day and I'll update here if the longevity becomes an issue.

I purchased this to use with my existing Milwaukee 18V batteries, and the performance has been impressive. The compatibility works flawlessly - no issues at all connecting my Milwaukee batteries, which is great since I didn't need to buy into another battery platform. The power on this thing is no joke. I recently used it to replace the wheel hub on my Jeep, and it handled every bolt without hesitation. It broke loose rusted and overtightened fasteners that that I broke three ratches and two sockets on. For heavy automotive work like this, the power is exactly what you need. The one thing to be aware of is that it is a bit heavy. During extended use, you'll definitely feel the weight, especially when working in tight spaces under the vehicle or in awkward positions. That said, the weight seems to come with the territory for this level of power - it's clearly built to be a workhorse rather than a lightweight tool. For the price point and Milwaukee battery compatibility, this is an excellent value. If you need serious torque for automotive repairs and already have Milwaukee batteries, this impact wrench is definitely worth considering.

Struggled with removing a blade off my brush cutter. Tried my Ryobi 1/2" impact and it was able to get one of the nuts off but not the other. Tried a short breaker bar with no luck and bought a 4' breaker bar to try more pressure. I even used a ratchet strap and had that 4' breaker bar tweaked where it was bowed 5" and still no go. I then tried heating with a torch and using Deep Creep penetrating oil (my go to for stuck fasteners) and still no go. Since I own the Makita platform, I bought the unit that works with the Makita battery. I looked at the Dewalt and Milwaukee impacts and by the time I bought the wrench, battery and charger, I would have been into it for well over $400. I'm not sure if all the previous work I did had this loose or what but I put it on and pulled the trigger and it didn't even struggle to loosen the nut that I had been working on for a week and a half. Maybe it was the penetrating oil that had sat for a week after the heat but I'm going to give credit to this tool since it seems very well built, strong and did what my other attempts failed to do. I'm of the belief that you buy one, cry once but when it comes to my need for this kind of tool, I believe the HUGE savings is worth it. If I were using it more than a couple times a year, I'd probably splurge for the name brands but I truly believe this will do everything that they do and a fraction of the price. So, if you are a weekend warrior and need to 3/4" impact that will remove those rusted, high torque nuts and bolts, this tool will get the job done!

The media could not be loaded. 1700 ft lbs? Pleeeeease. It may be 170. As you can see in the video it didn't even attempt to remove the lug nut. But I was able to easily remove it with just my left hand with a standard lug wrench. p.s. I'm right handed.

I bought this impact wrench to install and remove wheel nuts for my race car. The nuts are center-locking and there is only one on each wheel. The nuts have to be torqued to 270 ft/lbs so a small 1/2 inch impact would not do the job. I can't get the wheel nut off with a bar without someone holding the brakes on so it usually takes two people. This impact will remove the wheel nuts and install them with ease. We raced this past weekend and the wrench worked great. We used the lowest setting which seemed to torque the wheels at about 250 ft/lbs. We torqued them with our torque wrench since we didn't know torque the gun put on those big nuts. I don't think I want to use the higher settings for this though.
