  • Needed a good heavy duty tire for towing!
Size: LT275/70R17 121/118S
I replaced the OEM P rated tires on my 2017 Ram Ecodiesel 1500 4x4 with these Cooper HT3's. I find these tires to be very quiet. Even for a highway tread, they do very well on wet and snow, much better than the Goodyear OEM tires. The OEM tires had a problem with wet surfaces and spinning. And these are E 10 ply rated, what I need for towing our RV trailer from Alaska to the lower 48. I have them pumped up to 50 psi (80 psi max) so far, they feel nice. These 275's are only 1/2 inch taller than the 265's, so speedo calibration isn't going to be a problem. I ordered these on a Saturday, and received them the next Wednesday. Fast service! Thanks Amazon! UPDATE: I ended up filling the tires at 60 psi pressure. They feel good at this pressure. I also notice traction on snow is very good. I could never get out of my drive in 2 wheel drive with the OEM tires, with these HT3,s I've pulled out sans 4x4 everytime. ... show more

  • Update
Size: LT235/85R16 120/116R
Granted I'm going to enjoy anything I put on this truck because the tires i took off where so bad that i was convinced i had a bad set of wheel bearings. I bought 235 85 16 for a 03 silverado with steel 6.5 rims. The 245 75s i took of covered the lip of the rim better than these but it's no big. So far the only negitive is that they pick up pebbles and hold on to them for dear life and tick like studded tires on pavement, but they're brand new and deep grooves do that. They balanced easy and didn't require a pound of lead to get even. Ill come back with wear info. A little more than a year update!!!! They are wearing really well. I dont daily drive this truck but theres a few burn outs and angry ice/snow high rpm spins under their belt and they're still not bald. I put them on some wider aluminum rims a few months after that first review. But that has bothing todo with anything. They still hold onto rocks but not half as bad as when they where new. They're still quiet on the road They're still about a 6or7 out of 10 in the snow ... show more

  • I want to live! They're going back immediately...
Size: 235/65R16C 121/119R
I just put a full set of these Cooper tires on my 2015 Ford Transit 250 yesterday after not having been impressed with the 26,000 mile tread life offered by the OEM Hancooks. I am a senior, "gentle" driver and would have expected much more. I Drove home from the installer on the new Coopers in a slight breeze for a few miles and noticed the van wasn't handling the breeze well at all...all over the road. Noted. Didn't have a chance to take the new tires on the road until this evening. Carefully checked the front and rear tire inflations and then took them on a familiar curvy back-road 7 miles over to the freeway entrance. Handling on the curves was squishy and provided little steering feedback in comparison with the Hancooks the Transit came with. I pushed it slightly into a few of the sharper curves (that the van always handled easily in the past) and it seriously felt like the back end wanted to break loose and come around. Low confidence now. Got to the freeway and gently headed on up to 65, 70, 75. The ride was decent and this evening, fortunately, there was zero wind. I made some slight but quick corrections to my lane position and the van felt like it was about ready to spin completely and flip over. There was zero linear stability on these tires and I felt like I was trying to manage a set of balloon flotation tires at that speed. These tires are deadly dangerous on this vehicle. No matter what it costs me, these tires are coming off ASAP. Tomorrow would be best. I will repeat, these tires are DANGEROUS on this van and should not be purchased for it by any driver, under any circumstances. You will get in an accident with them at some point and it will more likely be the fault of the tires than your own. I couldn't even imagine doing highway speeds in windy or wet conditions based on my experience tonight. It would be truly frightening. Zero stars. Unsafe. Can't get them off my van fast enough. ... show more

  • Great tire -- as long as you increase the pressure
Size: 235/65R16C 121/119R
I've had these tires for 50,000 miles and they still have 10-15k left on the tread. Other reviews mention the soft handling and similar. They apparently did not read other website reviews that recommend adding 10 psi to your normal air pressure. I've run mine at 75 rear and 64 front since day 1 and have loved the tire. It's 10x more comfortable than the OEMs, handles much better. It even does better in snowy and other wet conditions -- at least as good as a 7400-lb (loaded) RWD 2017 Transit can be expected to do. This is still the best tire I believe you will find for the money in a 10-ply Load Range E tire -- especially since it doesn't feel like one. ... show more
