Ordered this snorkel to take with us on a beach trip, and it did pretty well! We have used some of these newer full-face designs in the past, though the other ones had a shorter snorkel in the middle of the head. The other ones also let in too much water to be usable. This unit did a better job with that- my son had some small amount of water getting in, but he could still use the snorkel for 5 or 10 minutes at a time. The benefit with this design is that you don't have to hold the snorkel in your mouth with your lips and teeth-it is all integrated with the mask. The downside is that everything is integrated with the same seal- so it is more area to have to seal around, and if water gets in it will get into your eyes and your air supply. The design is cool and a better experience when it is working, just crank it down tight and make sure it is a good fit for your head shape.

It seems like a good idea... I got this for my kid to use at our campground pond. It's a not annoying to get on and tightened around his head but it seemed like it had a decent seal around his face. The outside rubber is very soft and from fitting. The inside of the mask provides good visibility across a wide area perfect for snorkeling and seeing everything around you. The issue we had with the mask is that because it has two valves one for air coming in and one for expelling air. There mall worked for five second until my son breathed out and water came flooding in. I'm not sure if it's a faulty valve or what. Both valves are made of the same very soft rubber and they look ok when inspected but definitely not working properly. I do like that the snorkle detaches and stores into an included mesh bag that makes it easy to store and travel with. The mask is on the cheaper end of snorkle make like this so I'll most likely purchase a higher end one in hopes that it works better. Hopefully if you decide to purchase it works out better than the one we got.

This is what I like about the COOLOO Full Face Snorkel Mask: The design is simple. I have seen more complicated masks; however, the complications led to problems. One of the masks had a fan to force out the user's exhaled breath. However, the fan quit working, rendering the mask dangerous. The battery dying while in use ends the snorkeling until the batteries can be recharged. Another had at least four valves, introducing more points of failure. This mask has two, one for inhaling and the other for exhaling. In dry testing, I felt the valve closing, like I did with my gas mask in the military. It was familiar to me and comforting. What I don't like: After about 10 minutes of dry testing, I noticed the mask was fogging. Therefore, there is a seal leak somewhere. Unfortunately, I won't be able to wet test the mask for a few months, but I wanted to share what I've found. I'll update this review when I get a chance for a wet test.

This full face mask is just good. I say just good because sometimes it leaks, sometimes it don't. I feel like I have it in the same place on my face each time, but you never know. Usually the deeper you dive with it, the better it seals, which stands to reason. But for snorkeling at the surface, sometimes it breaks the seal. It could also just be my oblong head. However I've used it without issue at all at times. The breathing valves in the front do require a stronger breath and take some time to get used to especially if you are used to a regular snorkel. I have used this for fun several times and have enjoyed it each time and the leaks are just small annoyances more than critical failures. I like the concept and will continue to use it.

I thought this facemask looked pretty cool and couldn’t wait to give it a try. I did like that. You could see 180° and it had great coverage and very little water came in. I found it very hard to breathe in the mask and had to keep coming up for air. It didn’t do much to help me be able to swim underwater for longer because it was just so hard to breathe.
