First off, we live in South Florida where it's HOT about 340 days a year. I get that. We have horses boarded at a nearby farm and I wanted to find something I could use that would keep ice and some frozen items actually cold/frozen for the 45 minutes it takes to drive to this farm. (My horses love frozen treats like watermelon pops...). I also like to take water with me. SO this came yesterday, a few hours before we were ready to head out. I packed it up with a lot of ice, some bottles of water, and some frozen watermelon pops. 32 minutes later we get to the farm and I open the bag. Ice has begun to melt. Frozen pops were slushy. I was pretty disappointed. An hour later the ice was now water. I started to think "Well, it's 92 outside so maybe we are hoping for something that simply isn't possible." So this morning in the house, I filled it again with ice - maybe 2 pounds - and left it in the kitchen. My house averages 76 degrees. I checked an hour later and the ice was well on its way to totally melting. :-( I bought this particular one not only because it was supposed to keep ice for 12 hours, but it has various outside compartments that actually came in handy for other items like a towel, brushes, some snacks, etc. I'm still not sure if I'm going to return it. ... show more
