Description

Cooler Master’s MasterLiquid PL240 Flux is the new embodiment of enhanced performance cooling. The dual chamber pump has further honed flow and pressure to target hot spots for rapid and precise heat dissipation. Surface area of the copper base and microchannels have been calculated for a superior heat transfer ratio. Equipped with new Sickleflow fan blades with an interconnecting loop delivers high speed performance, with the fan fine tuned to produce an optimized noise output. It also integrates new Addressable Gen 2 RGB for support with major motherboard manufactures, customizable with both the included Addressable Gen 2 RGB controller and Cooler Master’s MasterPlus+ software.

I recently purchased the CoolerMaster MasterLiquid PL360 FLUX 30th Edition Close-Loop AIO CPU Liquid Cooler, and I have to say that I am extremely impressed with its performance. In this review, I'll go over the features of this liquid cooler and my personal experience using it. Perfect Fit for My Setup The width of 53mm with the fans installed was within 1mm of the depth of my case to the RAM modules, which made for a perfect fit. The width was 60mm to the head of the screws, but this was not a problem. Installation was straightforward and no more difficult than any other AIO cooler. I have a Ryzen 3950X CPU, ASUS PRIME X570-PRO motherboard, and Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 chassis, and this liquid cooler works perfectly with my setup. It will work with many other chassis and motherboard combinations as well. The LED lights look great with the LED fans on the front of my chassis and the motherboard LEDs. Enhanced Performance Cooling The CoolerMaster MasterLiquid PL360 FLUX 30th Edition comes with a Dual Chamber Pump, which delivers the perfect balance of water flow and pressure. The high-speed motor utilizing a ceramic bearing impeller forces balanced water flow to and from the radiator for ultimate efficiency of heat exchange. Exclusive 30th Anniversary Features The MOBIUS 120P 30th Anniversary Edition fans are a great addition to this cooler, with inter-connecting air balance fan blades that increase sturdiness and stability operating steadily at high speed. The angled inner rim of the fan frame increases the intake of air, while the gap between the frame and blades creates greater air pressure. The exclusive 30th Anniversary logo and color accents are a nice touch. Superior Heat Transfer Ratio The CoolerMaster MasterLiquid PL360 also features enhanced air balance fan blades, a slim and sleek radiator with superior fin density, and a precision-engineered ultra-thin spaded fins that maximize microchannels to accurately target heat spots. The enlarged copper base surface area optimized with an ideal base thickness accelerates heat transfer. Compatibility This liquid cooler is compatible with both AMD Ryzen and Intel LGA processors, including AMD Ryzen AM5/AM4, AMD AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2+/FM2/FM1, and Intel LGA1700/1200/1151/1150/1155/1156/1366/2066/2011-v3/2011. Final Thoughts I would highly recommend this limited MasterLiquid Flux liquid cooler to anyone looking for enhanced performance cooling. The materials feel good on this AIO and the design looks nice. Setup was not too hard but you just need to pay attention to the manual that comes with the AIO. Previously I bought a Used Like New PL360Flux and my temps on my i9 13900k were hitting >200F (98C). It could have been because it was used or the 4yr old Artic MX-4 thermal paste. Although the paste did fine on my previous cooler. I decided to buy the 30th addition PL 360 flux and I used the Mastergel Pro v1 thermal paste that came with the AIO and now my temps didn't get above 188F (86.6C) on stress test. CPU temp sits around 120F on AAA games with ultra settings which is acceptable to me. So, maybe it was the older thermal paste, or faulty PL 360 flux or if the new design/fans were that much better. All I know is that I am very pleased with the AIO cooler and it looks and feel great. If it can keep my i9 13900k cool on a 1hr stress test (not overclocked) it should be able to handle any other CPU that is currently out there. This thing looks great, but it also works great. Dropped my temps significantly from my old aging corsair AIO cooler (which I think stopped working properly). On top of that, the fans are exceptionally quiet. I do like the programmable RGB also. Nice touch. I went with this model specifically because it has the higher quality pump and 5 year warranty as opposed to the cheaper version. That, in itself, if worth the extra cost.     • Works good but fans rattle all the way

I don't care about all these RGB stuff. The noise level is my priority. This cooler fails this mission. Fans rattle starting from a point of about 23% speed level. It's unbearable. The pump is quiet for those who keep their PC under the table. Performance is ok, I am not a big specialist. It cools my Ryzen 5700X successfully. Also, you can fit it in Lion-Li H2O case, but under quite a pressure. I hope it will not explode some day in my case. ... show more

    • Cools WAY better than other 240mm AIOs!

Running this on a 13700K. I’ve tried the ML240 V2 and the Arctic Liquid Freezer 240AIO and this runs 9C COOLER than either of those. I used to bounce off 99-100C on cores 4-7 but those have been steady at 90C or cooler peak. This is a HUGE improvement over the older gen CM coolers The copper plate on this cooler is WAY bigger. The radiator is exactly the same as most other 240mm AIOs. Fans run quiet, orientation of the pump head is adjustable. The overall build quality is WAY better than the ML240. The only negative is the Flux fans do NOT have ARGB daisy chaining, so you either have to get a splitter or run multiple headers. Also the tubes are a hair stiff. ... show more
