The media could not be loaded. As long as you know what you're in for, the MA410M is a gorgeous, quiet air cooler. But it takes a lot of (mostly software) work to go beyond the RGB basics. 1) The MA410M is huge and heavy, as expected. It takes work to clamp this beast to the motherboard, and like many other reviewers, I needed to remove the fans from the heatsink to do so. Make sure this will fit in your case! Even in my Hyte Y60, I couldn't believe the cooler only cleared the inside of the case glass by 2 mm. The front fan didn't clear my RAM (Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL), so I had to dremel a millimeter's worth of material off two of the fan corners to get the fan to fit. 2) CoolerMaster's MasterPlus+ control software can work with this unit, but only after updating the included controller's firmware, which requires finding a (not included) mini-USB to USB cable to connect the unit. CoolerMaster's tech support insisted (multiple times) I needed to buy a different CoolerMaster controller, but that's not true. 3) Like most RGB software, MasterPlus+ does a couple of things well (in this specific case, gradient effects), and the rest of the features and interface need refinement. MasterPlus+ will not work without using a CoolerMaster controller. 4) The MA410M boasts "28 addressable LEDS". While technically true, CoolerMaster apparently wired them up as pairs along the sides (not the fan facing sides, so that's good), and further wired up the first two pairs of a given side, closest to the tunnel window. At the beginning of the video, see how the first two circles in the tube both light up together, and then each circle lights up one at a time as the effect moves down the tube? In essence, this means the MA410M has only 12 addressable sets of LEDs -- not 14, and not 28, even though there are indeed 28 LEDs. Remember that for whichever software you use to control the RGB of the MA410M. I would have liked more granular control over the LEDs, but it's not a big deal. I'd love to know why CoolerMaster chose this strange approach. Doing anything beyond basic RGB with this cooler took far more time than the rest of my RGB setup combined, and I ended up getting deep into the weeds with SignalRGB to get the effects I wanted. CoolerMaster's support, while quick (less than 24 hours to respond each time), didn't understand their own product. I also replaced CoolerMaster's included RGB controller with a Razer controller since I needed the extra controller ports and decided against using MasterPlus+ software. The MA410M works fine with other 3-pin aRGB controllers, including motherboard aRGB headers. While it took a ton of work to figure out and unlock the potential of the RGB in the MA410M, let's be honest -- we get this cooler for the appearance. CoolerMaster made a fantastic looking, well-functioning air cooler. CoolerMaster's software, documentation, and support cost me untold hours of labor, and I talked myself into giving a four star review rather than just the three stars I wanted. The physical cooler itself? A five star creation.

When I set out to build my system, I didn't want water in my computer. Yet I wanted a powerful computer that I could use to its full potential. I read reviews, watched videos and thought about it. The design of this cooler looked good. The central fan was shrouded which contained and directed the airflow where it was needed with no leakage. There's a saying in engineering, "If it looks right, it is right." This cooler looks right. Why have two fans when only one is needed to move air over what is essentially two radiators? It is large. Make sure your case is big enough. Airflow within the case is essential for an air cooled system. I was concerned that air cooling might not be feasible for a high TDP processor. I was worried about nothing. My cooler sits on an AMD 5950X. It idles at 30º t0 32ºC. At the end of a Cinebench R23 run (Score was 24,594) the temperature is still less than 61ºC. I have confidence that this system can be loaded up for as long as I want with no thermal throttling concerns. I can't comment on the RGB lighting since I didn't plug it in. Sorry, just not into it. This cooler shares the case with an RX6950XT that was essentially idle when the Cinebench test was running. However, I think that I have sufficient thermal headroom for any task I care to throw at my computer.

This is the best looking air cooler I've ever seen. It has amazing cooling potential if you're willing to do a little work for it. For some reason, cooler master decided to put an ok fan in it. Nothing special, it works. Read reviews where people were getting 75 even 85 C under load. But, I watched a tutorial on YouTube on taking this thing apart to put a new fan in. Read somewhere that Cooler Master SAYS the fan is user serviceable, but they sure went out of their way to make you feel like it's not. I replaced the fan with a BeQuiet high static pressure fan. Saw some people put in a Noctua...whatever tickles your fancy. After that, this thing is incredible. Beats the 280mm rad Cooler Master AIO I had in there. I've always had a thing for AIR cooling, but wanted to give an AIO a try, decided to come back. Honestly though, I have a 5950x that screams with this thing. Temp maxes out at at 62 C and I adjusted the fan curve to 50% at 65 C. That's in a 24 C room. One caveat is my idle temp are a bit higher compared to the AIO. 49-50 C verses a consistent 42 C with the AIO. I had by reservations on getting this cooler, but I couldn't get over the looks of this thing. I'm glad I got it. It looks even better than the pictures. It is a tall boy, so make sure you have clearance.
