Description

The Cooler Master HAF II 500 is a high-airflow ATX PC case built around an oversized Mighty40 fan system and optimized for efficient cooling at controlled noise levels. Two 220 x 40 mm Mighty40 F220 front intake fans and one 180 x 40 mm Mighty40 V180 rear exhaust fan help balance intake and exhaust airflow. A split-level layout optimizes cable-management space while making room for the oversized 180 mm rear fan. This case is amazing for airflow, plenty of room for large components like long GPUs. Extremely easy to build in and cable manage. Really good build quality and it looks nice too. Good value for the money when compared to the cases it's competing against. I think this is the largest case I've purchased so make sure to check the space you have available to place it to make sure it will fit on/under your desk. I've set the case fans to cap out at 60% when in game and it still keeps my GPU (7900xtx) extremely cool and stays quiet. Only negative in my mind was I pre-ordered this after seeing the Gamer's Nexus review of how great this case performs and after it officially launched they lowered the price by $21. I won't knock any stars for that, still very happy with the case. ... show more

Does everything a case NEEDS to do... mostly getting that air in and keeping things cool. The built in arm for GPU support is VERY NICE! The only folks that might find a problem with this is someone loading up on a pile of 2.5 inch SSD's because one of the cages for it is directly in the way of the PSU cables for a regular "wires out the back" PSU's. otherwise... it's got air flow in all the right ways! But yea, so far getting great thermals. I have built loads of PC's and this one is not fairly easy to use and access. It is big and will take more more space than usual. Case quality is high, but not top notch... but the price and value for what it does offer can't be beat! ... show more

This thing is really big but i love the fans the size really matters and the design has plenty of space for changes to the build in the future i really think its not the prettiest design on the market but i can say it makes up for it in utility and that personally matters more

Nice air flow case that is decent in size which is great. I grew frustrated with the included fan controller. Motherboard wouldn’t detect any fan was even connected to the header. Ended up connecting the fan connectors directly to the system fan headers on my motherboard which solved the issue.

This case feels both massive and surprisingly constrained at the same time. On one hand, it is huge at 80 liters in volume and comes equipped with three massive pre-installed fans that move an incredible amount of air—so much so that it actually sways the curtains behind my PC! Visually, I love the rugged, industrial aesthetic behind those front grills. The overall build experience was great: cable management routing and installation were very straightforward, and the flexible panel design allows you to easily pop off various covers and panels to move things around. However, despite its massive footprint, internal compatibility can feel surprisingly limited. Fitting a 420mm AIO requires removing those signature fans, which completely defeats the main selling point of the case. Furthermore, because so much space is allocated to housing the large stock fans, cable management clearance behind the tray is tighter than expected unless you remove some of the 2.5"/3.5" drive bays to make room. At its $200 price tag, it feels like you're paying $140 just for the pre-installed fans and $60 for the chassis itself—especially considering the heavy use of plastic on components like the front panel. ... show more
