This basket is a perfect fit in the RTIC ultralight wheeled cooler. It is very well biult. Probably a bit over biult for a cooler basket but that's OK. Fits in perfect not bent or warped like other baskets I've seen. I have the plastic basket from RTIC and I think this wire one off Amazon is more useful, cheaper and honestly better made. The vendor's fine print warns that the dimensions may not be exactly as shown on the diagram. So I measured it, just to find out. The one I received turns out to be about 1/8" short on all three dimensions. Probably not a problem, but just so you know. The pictures are a bit ambiguous, some of them suggesting steel gray color. No, it's solid black. I can't speak to the Coleman ice chest application, sorry. For my own use: I have an audio amplifier that runs hot, and a CD/DVD player that sits on top of it. I had already arranged an air gap between them, but the player was still getting hotter than I wanted. This basket is a great intermediary, turned upside down and padded on what is now the upper surface. Lots of airflow and a layer of thermal separation. ... show more

This stainless steel wire rack has enhanced my freezer storage capabilities. I use it primarily in my large top-load freezer. It has improved the organization of my frozen goods. PRO: I like the way it holds up under the weight of frozen items without bending or warping.
