The Good: I never knew these things existed until this popped up on my screen one day. I can see how this is a great accessory for the active Mom/Dad with kids in tow. Fill with cold packs or ice, and you can keep the milk and juice boxes cold. I liked it so much I ordered one for myself. The Bad: The tradeoff is the time you spend cleaning out the bag after use to remove all residual moisture. Not a lot of time but you don't want a musty smelling bag. Overall: I work on a military base in the Middle East and I travel by bus to get buy my weekly groceries. I usually have to buy a bag of ice to stick in with my cold items to keep them from defrosting on the ride home. It is far easier to carry this on my back with a couple of cold packs than carrying everything in bags. Best of all this can go anywhere so you are set for picnic's or keeping your lunch cool when there isn't a fridge available. I'm probably going to order another. Highly recommend.

I don't recommend using ice cubes unless you bag them. I prefer to use gel packs or frozen water bottles. Besides the cooler compartment, there are side and rear pockets with a good amount of space for other items. The zippers are heavy duty too. The curved carry straps make it comfortable to carry even when full and heavy. This cooler does keep it's inside temperature pretty good. Because of it's dark color though, it shouldn't be left in direct sunlight. This will affect it's ability to keep the inside cool.

This is a great cooler backpack. Holds quite a lot. I like all the compartments. We've taken this to the park several times and on roadtrips. Does a great job of keeping items cold and doesn't leak. Comfortable to carry as well.

We have a farm and are building a house so every weekend we pack up our old backpack cooler with snacks and drinks and drag the bag all over. With all the abuse our old one sprung a leak. We are still using our old one for farm and house stuff but using our new one for when we go to friends houses or other places where we might bring a small cooler. We also like using big coolers camping and then taking the backpack hiking. We take big coolers to the beach full of drinks and then place food in the backpack easily accessible for kids (we did similar floating the river). If you haven't tried out a backpack cooler yet, try it. It is a shoulder saver! I do recommend using ice packs or placing your ice in ziploc - it helps keep your bag cleaner. When not in use, dry it out by leaving it open for a bit. This backpack cooler is nice looking and well-made. Most people wouldn't know it's a cooler just looking at it. I have another Matein leather looking backpack for work that I absolutely love. This has well-thought-out pockets!! Great cooler. I'll try to get an updated picture soon with all it can hold.

I wanted to order this backpack style cooler because of its sleek, good looks. This bag looks as much at home in the city as it does on a hiking trail. It is strong and sturdy. The insulated lining works great to keep lunch, drinks or snacks cool and is very roomy . You have to be careful to only fill it according to how much you personally can carry on your back. There are multiple pockets for utensils, picnic accessories, a corkscrew and more. One cool feature is the bottle opener on one of the straps in front – you can open a bottlecap without digging into the bag to find a bottle opener. We look forward to using this good looking picnic bag for years to come.

This is a very nice backpack. It is padded for comfort while wearing. It has several pockets to hold extra things such as cutlery, napkins, plates, small condiments etc. I took this on a 14 hour trip to visit family. I used it to hold our drinks (family of four) and they stayed cold the whole trip. A couple water bottles were frozen when we started out and still had some ice when we arrived at our destination. This backpack is great for traveling, beach, camping, hiking, picnicking or whatever the occasion. The best part is that no water leaked out of the bag as ice melted.
