This was the only TV stand I could find with dimensions I needed. 36W x 36H. Happily it is a quality look and feel, and solidly built. took 2 beers and an hour to assemble. Trying to make sense of some of the comments, you DO NOT use power tools, they are 1/4 turn cam locks. The only time you would use a screw gun, is the last step, screwing on the back panel. You can put any size TV you want on it, as long as the feet aren't wider than 36". ... show more

If you have ever assembled Ikea furniture, this cabinet will be easy to assemble: it's held together with cam locks and dowels. You will need a #2 phillips screwdriver. The assembly instructions are clear and well organized. When assembling the unit pay attention to front vs. back: I accidentally put the middle shelf in backward and didn't notice until I had tightened all the cams, so a bit of wasted time but no serious problem. I found it convenient to use an impact driver when screwing on the back, not because the screws were hard to drive but because there are 16 of them. My unit came with a warped top, so after putting the top on I added a corner brace to pull it down to the cross bar. I just clamped the top down with 2 clamps, and placed the corner brace. That worked fairly well. As others have noted, the unit is not deep enough to accomodate larger audio equipment, so I cut out a square hole 18" x 8" using a jigsaw. There have been many questions about the dimensions of this piece, and answers ranging from "I don't know" to "about [some wrong answer]". So here are the dimensions, accurate to about 1/16": floor to top: 36" top: 36"W x 15 1/2"D cabinet body: 33 5/8"W x 14 3/8"D midshelf opening: 7 3/8"H x 30 7/8"W midshelf interior: 9 3/8"H x 13 1/2"D main compartment: 20 3/8"H x 13 1/2"D legs: 3 1/4" from floor to bottom of cabinet body (in case you want to cut it shorter) doors: 15 1/4"W x 20 7/8"H shelf peg centers: 7 3/4", 10", 12 7/16" from bottom of main compartment ... show more

Very happy with this! Would buy again šŸ˜€ Some tips with assembly for those who are not expert assemblers: 1. Use the wood glue anytime you use the wooden pegs. There are directions to do this but I didnā€™t see them until I was already done with step one (my fault entirely but Iā€™m a little impatient when it comes to these things). Also, when looking at the furniture the bigger holes are for the wooden pegs and the smaller holes are for the cam screws. Hard to see this in the directions as the print is tiny... 2. The cam screws look too big to fit in the holes however, one you start screwing them they fit snugly in the hole. Some of the veneer chips off when you do this but donā€™t worry, they will be covered by the other pieces of the furniture and will not be shown. The cam locks need to be pushed in a bit. Make sure you have the ā€œplus signā€ facing out and try to put the gap on the over side over the screw. 3. I recommend using a power drill. I did all the screwing my hand and Iā€™m pretty sure my right hand is dead. Using a rubber backed pot holder helped me get through this. 4. I did the assembly myself but needed some help from someone to hold the glass doors in place while I screwed. I found this step to be the hardest. 5. When putting on the back panel have someone hold it in place while you screw. If you do this alone, prop it up by putting something underneath. 6. Have some paper towel handy because itā€™s a bit dusty and the screwing creates saw dust. Paper towel also helps if you get wood glue on yourself. I recommend using a dusting spray and windex on it once itā€™s fully assembled. 7. If you are going at this alone with no power tools give yourself about two hours. Again, itā€™s beautiful and I am very happy with my purchase. ... show more

Was looking for a traditional cabinet to replace a taller older stereo cabinet which had my stereo components in it. We live in a 100 year old craftsman style house, and we're looking for a nicer cabinet to match our new living room furniture which is traditional style. After trips to several furniture store I decided to check Amazon an was pleasantly surprised to find a traditional craftsman style cabinet. The price was very reasonable, but had some reservations on quality of MDF fiber board used to make the cabinet. After reading several reviews we decided to purchase. We received cabinet in a box which was partially open, end of box had tape torn off and box flap was partially open. Emptied box and checked all boards out, luckily no boards were damaged. Was easy to follow instructions and put together . Some reviewers said instruction were hard to understand, not for us. The hinges are adjustable so you can properly align the doors, which some reviews complained about doors being uneven . Only issue I had was wishing cabinet was 2-3" deeper to accommodate bigger stereo components. Had to cut bigger opening in back of stereo cabinet to make room for component , which was easy. For the price, stereo cabinet looks beautiful, is very solid, doors are solid wood while rest of cabinet is MDF wood. Which by the way looks like solid wood. Would I buy again or recommend to friends, Yes I would ! ... show more
