I am 12 years old and I love to fly drones. I have a bunch of cheap ones in my closet and a few that are around 50 dollars that I like to fly, but after a while I decided that I needed an upgrade. I was searching for weeks for one that had a good camera, GPS, and a low cost. Once I came across the Contixo f24 pro I knew that it was the drone to buy, and a few days later after checking with my dad I ordered it. It arrived a lot earlier than expected and as soon as it came I started charging it. It took around 2 hours to charge because it was already at half when it came, and when it was charged I took it out for my first flight. Now I have flown a lot of drones and even some DJI's, but all of that was nothing compared to this. I hit the one key takeoff button and expected it to drift with the wind ( there were up to 20 mph wind gusts that day), but it stayed perfectly still. For my first flight I stayed with the main controls to get used to how it handled, and it was incredibly smooth. The next day I tried out the flight modes (Orbit mode, follow me, follow object, return to home, one key takeoff and landing, headless mode, waypoints, hand gestures) and also tried the VR addition on the app which went very well. The video quality is amazing and you will not be able to find another drone with such good quality, features, and handling at such a good price. The drone takes about 5 hours to charge, and you get about 30 minutes of flight time. It is easy for beginners, and I had mastered flying it in just 2 days. This drone is a hidden gem - it has every feature you could want, and operation is a breeze. This is the first drone I’ve owned and operated, so as beginner, I feel the learning curve is more than manageable; anything that you can’t intuit, there are plenty of YouTube videos and of course, the instruction manual that comes with the drone. Image and video quality is excellent, and I haven’t experienced any issues recording from drone —>phone. I have yet to transfer from the memory card to a computer or laptop or other media handling device. Build quality is pretty decent, and it mitigated a fair amount of turbulence much better than I thought it would. The only thing I would change would be to add some sort of rubberized edging along the outline of the drone? The app works seamlessly. If you have trouble connecting your smartphone to the drone’s WiFi, make sure you aren’t doing it indoors, or near significant sources of radio wave emissions. You’ll need to use/buy your own standard USB cable and wall plug, as the only charging accessories included are for the drone’s remote. YOU MUST REGISTER THIS DRONE WITH THE FCC (United States). I’ve heard mixed opinions about this, but according to the Feds, any drone or UAV that weighs between .55 and 50 lbs MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE FCC!!! I also advise purchasing the 49.99 registration package. Just google “FCC drone registration”. Is all self-explanatory from there. This drone ranks WAY up there amongst bargain drones. So I have been playing with the idea of getting a drone to take great aerial photos during our camping trips. I researched different ones, and came across this one, which I liked because it had decent reviews on battery life, compactness, and ease of use; as well as a ton of great features (Follow Me mode, Hand gesture photos and video, Point of Interest mode, Return to Home mode, Waypoint mode), all for a relatively decent price. I bit the bullet and purchased it. I spent three or four days testing it, and it was quite easy to control. The Follow Me function was pretty cool. I have not tried out the Point of Interest or the photo/video by hand gesture features yet, but plan to soon. In learning how to navigate the drone I crashed it several times, but it is still doing fine - it only shows some minor scratches on the propeller blades (not super worried about this, as the drone comes with spare blades). Important take-aways from what I have learned so far: Do not try to fly it if any of the lights on the drone are blinking - it may cause the drone to act erratically. Make sure all lights are solid blue and white before take off. Also don't use the Return To Home feature unless you are in a pretty wide open area, and the drone is in sight - this drone does not have obstacle avoidance capability, so if the drone is out of your line of sight (say, behind some trees) and you press the RTH button, it will make a bee line for the take-off spot, regardless of what is in its way. Learning to maneuver the drone was fairly unproblematic. The big problem I ran into was the Contixo app did not work correctly on my Moto G6 Play Android phone. I was unable to see the live camera feed while flying the drone, and I could not take photos or video from within the app by pressing the photo/video buttons (although I was able to take photos and video by pressing the photo/video buttons on the remote control). Problem was that without a live video feed, I couldn't see what I was taking a photo/video of - at least, not until I landed the drone and took the SD card out of it to view the images on my computer. Another problem was that the app wasn't showing me any in-flight data (altitude, distance, speed). I spent the entire weekend trying different things to solve these issues (reading other reviews online, Googling tech articles, downloading different drone apps on my phone in the hopes that at least one of them would work). I noted during my research that several other people also had issues with the Android version of the Contixo app. I tried to see if other apps would work with the drone, but had no luck. After trying numerous different things to get the app to work properly, I almost decided to return the drone. I decided as a last-ditch effort to contact Contixo, and they responded within 24 hours via e-mail. They gave me a list of the following tips to try: How to fix Android Not Connecting to Wi-Fi Problem Tip 1. Restart Phone Tip 2. Toggle WiFi Off and on Tip 3. Turn Airplane Mode Off Tip 4. Turn Bluetooth off Tip 5. Turn Power Saving Mode off Tip 6. Turn off Smart Network Switch Tip 7. Turn off Auto-Reconnect for weak Wi-Fi Signal I performed all these steps and opened up the Contixo app to see if I could get a live video feed, but still nothing. I then decided to try using another app called SJ GPS PRO. The interface of this app is nearly identical to the one in the Contixo app. FINALLY I was able to see the live video feed in the SJ GPS PRO app. WHEW! That was a pain in the a$$ but it was worth it. I can't give this five stars because of the extensive issues I had with Contixo's app. It is problematic and buggy. However, I bumped up my original inclination of three stars to four, because of the prompt and helpful response from Contixo in helping me resolve my issues, and because the drone is feature-rich and does pretty much everything I wanted and then some (I especially like the ultra HD 1080P camera). This is a nicely-priced drone, considering all the features it has. I would buy this again - but would strongly recommend that Contixo work on improving its Android version of the app. EDIT (9/21/2019): Android continues to be buggy occasionally when I try to view live feed. Performing the following steps seemed to work: Re-boot phone Turn off drone and Remote control Turn drone back on Turn Remote control back on Sync the Remote with the drone by moving the left joystick up and then down Turn on Contixo WIFI on the phone Turn OFF GPS on Remote control (if it is on) Open the SJ GPS PRO app Turn ON GPS on Remote control. I figured out that if I had the GPS activated on the remote before opening up the app on my phone, I could not see the live view from the camera. Weird. Also, The Follow Me mode and Hand gesture mode have not been working for me - this might have to do with the fact that I am not using the Contixo app... at any rate, this is not a deal-breaker for me. ... show more

I receive my Contixo F24 Pro on 6 November 2019, and after getting it set up, which took all of a few minutes, I was up and running (flying in this case). Due totally to user error (showing off for the most part), I crashed the aircraft several times, but to my great surprise, it just keeps firing back up and taking off with no problem. This speaks volumes to the build quality, which is sturdy and substantial, and did I mention that I've flown it 2-3 hours a day, every day since it arrived. I'm impressed with Contixo's offerings, especially the F24 Pro, so much so that yesterday I ordered two more F24 Pro's as Christmas gifts for my adult son and my daughter and son-in-law. I’m betting that as more and more people discover the value, quality, functionality, and ease of operation, this particular drone will be in high demand. I was initially leaning towards the DJI Mavic Pro-2 at nearly four times the price, but after a neighbor down the street allowed me to operate his aircraft, I was quite simply, sold. I understand that obstacle/object avoidance is important to a lot of people, and I'm sure that at some point, Contixo will offer this option as well. And while I acknowledge that this too can be considered an added safety feature, I think there’s something to be said for being in complete control of how the aircraft functions. If you are looking for a well built, well priced, easy to fly, quadcopter drone with loads of function, then you can’t go wrong with the Contixo F24. This is my first drone. I was looking for a cheap drone with a good camera that folds for easy travel. This drone blew my expectations away. This is an amazing drone. Video quality is top-notch. Photos and videos will be immediately available on your device which looks great on the phone. However, if you want the full quality video files, you need the SD card. If you take the raw video files from the SD card, you can even view the videos on a 70 inch TV and it looks great. The drone itself is extremely simple to fly. I was able to feel like a pro within just a few minutes. It is very intuitive. Even my girlfriend who does not play games was able to fly it confidently. Although my overall experience was very positive, there were a few small issues with the application. For some reason, there were Chinese symbols where the GPS calibration was locations. I am not sure what it was trying to say, but I saw no way to change it to English. The other issue with the application is that all units are in metric and cannot be converted to US units. This seems like it would be easy enough for the developers to fix in a future update. But as of right now, those issues exist. But I had no issues with connectivity to the drone, even at the extreme far distances. TLDR: Great drone. Extremely easy to fly. Smooth, crisp, high definition videos. I was looking for something that wasn’t A toy, but was within my budget and having a good camera and GPS. Ran across this drone and watched a few videos... decided to give it a try. I’m not big on reading the instructions, but I am glad I did in this case. There’s a lot to be aware of when you go to fly a drone of this caliber. There is also a great instruction video online made by the manufacturer. I think this drone is an excellent value for the money, would be great if there was an option to buy the pack with 2 batteries. Had to pick up an extra one separately. Batteries take a long time to charge, wish that was a bit faster or there was an additional charger or something. There is "fisheye" with the lens when taking video, however using the "de-fish" in my video editing software I was able to make it virtually non-existent in my final video render. As to flight, once past the learning curve it seems to fly well in low wind conditions, haven’t had it out in any major winds. The drone app starts out in “beginner” mode... do not leave that on and walk behind the drone thinking if you’re close that it’ll be alright. When you get to the distance limit you will nearly get decapitated as it reverses direction without warning and travels backwards at a fast clip. The drone takes Micro SD cards, but only up to 32gb. Didn’t know that and purchased a 64gb and it does not read in the drone. All footage is recorded to your phone during camera use, and simultaneously to the Micro SD card without need to do anything in the software. The F24 Pro seems rugged and well made. This drone sucks. First,I downloaded the app. Then I followed the steps leading up to GPS searching but because I was trying it out indoors first,I tried to turn off GPS. Good luck with that! Finally was able to get it to go into normal mode. Then I started the motors. Because I just wanted it to hover, I pushed the Key Takeoff with Hover button and the drone rose to about 5 ft. but then started to drift towards the wall so I pushed the Key Landing button which is the same button as the Key Takeoff button. Nothing happened and the drone drifted into the wall and crashed. Nothing appeared to be damaged so I repeated all the steps again only to have the same thing happen again. Once again the drone didn’t seem to be damaged. I deleted the app and tried the whole process again but this time the lights would not stop flashing signifying I could start the motors. In addition to all of this the extra battery I ordered was DOA and would not charge. So I have a claim in for that. What a piece of crap! Don’t waste your time and money on this! ... show more

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Contixo F24 Pro drone. It comes in a nice padded case and unfolds with ease. It is solidly built and well integrated. It is very easy to control, even for a newbie like me. This is helped by having a speed control that sets the maximum speed that the drone will move. This allows a newbie to slow the thing way down so they will have time to react and get accustomed to the control scheme. Once you get used to it you can increase the speed to zip around quickly. Slow speed will also be useful for moving in close to objects to get a close-up shot. It also has a beginner mode that will prevent it from getting too far away or above you. Again, this is configurable for when you need to you can expand those limits. It even has one-button take off, landing, and return to home functions. It will also return to home automatically if it loses communication or the battery runs low (home is the spot where it took off). Once you are in the air it has several functions like follow me and waypoint navigation that will allow it to autonomously perform tasks without constant controls from the operator. The camera produces very nice HD+ video and still pictures. Note that to record full resolution video you'll need a micro sd memory card plugged into the drone. Videos and pictures are also stored on the phone that you use with it, but they are somewhat compressed. All in all a terrific product! ... show more
