Was looking for a replacement for my Double Fighter 2's. These are just what I was looking for. I bought the 26 inch model for an old MTB I made for City use. The fighters were good and lightweight, but had no protection against flats. I bought some Contact Plus tires that rolled well on flats but were just heavy on hill climbs. Took a chance on these, other than a slight advantage the fighters have on loose ground, these are where it's at. Keep in mind I'm a heavier gent at 240lbs and run 75 psi on the older and these tires; outside recommended range. But it works well for me. As for tire wear, I got around 1500 miles out of the fighters, I expect the same out of these. Value for money wise; worth it. ... show more

I use these on rails to trails and have truly liked the performance. I have a spare set ready to go when needed. I have on two different bikes and have tried other tires, but returned to these as they have better track record and overall wear is good. I only wish tires on bikes lasted as long as tires on a car. I can get only around 1500 miles and then the tread becomes more slick. I'm not as worried about puncture at this juncture as I know of the thick walls of this tire. I only have a little more distance on sudden breaking to take into account in order to come to a full stop. ... show more

I was impressed by the tread pattern, very cool. But the one piece of glass I hit wass enough to penatrate TWO layers of "kevlar protection"? I am skeptical of this tire's features being realistic because kevlar shouldn't fail like this.
