Bought this game on a whim looking for a football game to play on the Nintendo Switch. Wasn't really sure how this game would play, but figured for $20 I'd give it a go. First off, this game is NOT NFL Street! Just get that out of the way and out of your head. If you are looking for NFL Street, this isn't it. That being said, it does have a bit of a NFL Street feel to the game play/character models. Some of the tackling is a bit more on the aggressive side, which is where it has a little bit of a Blitz the League feel. They have these sort of powerup cards that either make it so that the opposing team has 50% less stamina for a play or reduces coverage or something which gives it a more arcade feel (backyard football). I've turned these off since they became annoying to select between every play. So far I have only played about 6 or 7 games, but I have enjoyed it! The graphics are a little grainy, but that is expected i guess on the Switch. The games go fast so you are able to get 1-2 in pretty quickly. My worry is that the game will get boring and repetitive. There's a limited # of venues to play at and a limited # of plays to run, so at some point the fun will die out. So far though it is a solid arcade style football game! It is NOT worth more than $15-$20 in my opinion though. Even $20 is borderline. UPDATE 2/14/24: I've completed several games so far now and played through one full season in the season mode. Still keeping my rating at 4 stars, but one note I'd like to add is that when you complete a season that it's not like other sports games where you just go into the next year and progress. You basically just restart and there's an icon in the upper right showing how many championships you've won. I was quite let down by this. Also, playing on "normal" difficulty I am finding too easy. I win games by 20+ pts frequently. trying the "hard" difficulty next to see how that goes. Otherwise this is a solid game still.
