Description

The combination of speed, lightweight and wet weather performance, combined with puncture and sidewall protection. It features 5 carcass plies (3 for casing plus 2 anti-puncture layers), 430 tpi ultra-fine polyamide casing for supple, all day performance, black casing with added duraskin sidewall reinforcement for protection against cuts and abrasion. Black tread compound specifically optimized for wet weather grip, low temperatures and extended tread life. Toughness and wet weather performance make it ideal for fast audax and all year round road racing.

I've been running these tires for yeas and love them. The tires start to get a little cut up from debris on my commute but I have yet to puncture one of these. I hit a piece of angle iron one time and it pinched my tube and cut into my rim but the tire was still intact! The secret to excellence is often to do simple well, and that's what these do. Great tires, very durable. I have about 700 miles on these so far and the front tire still has bits of flashing left from the molding process so I expect these will last several thousand miles barring some kind of catastrophic puncture. I've ridden my 28mm's in very wet, slushy and icy conditions and they're very reliable. Much less twitchy than the Gatorskins. ... show more

They are easier to install than others still a tight fit. Great grip and comfortable, little heavier than other tires but you can ride in confidence through the city and know that if you forget your spare and pump you can still get home

These are by far the best clinchers I have ever used. In the 700 by 28 version they provide a supple ride with incomparable cornering traction. For a larger rider like myself (220lbs), they are a revelation. I have not yet put a lot of miles on them so I cannot vouch for treadwear. Buy a set and you won't regret it! ... show more
