It’s been hard trying to find these in the stores so I bought some on here. I was a little skeptical with some of the bad reviews…. Here’s what happened. After I installed the new tube, got it all aired up and then took my dog for her bike/run. Great, the first day, all seemed well. The next night, I went to go for another ride and the tube/tire was flat! I decided just to air it up again and make sure I tightened the valve when done. It has now lasted weeks so far without having to air it up again. Check those valves after you install/air them up! I believe that was my problem. ... show more

The tubes are good but, I bought these too quickly without measuring my previous valve stem. These are too short, I really need 50mm or longer. The short valve makes it hard to connect the pump.

These are great tubes. It looks like the negative reviews are user errors. Because if you look at the pictures the blow outs look like they didn’t have the tubes inside the tire when pumping up which would cause a long blowout because the bead would be pressing on that section. I think these people could have just as likely messed up any brand of tube. Continental is well know and trusted and used by a lot of experienced cyclists for a reason b ... show more

I closed my bike shop 4 years ago...I've changed thousands of tubes over the last 30 years. Contenental Tubes are very high quality. They are thick enough and the rubber high quality enough to stretch from 700c x 25mm all the way to 700c x 32mm. I worry on other brands as they get pretty darn thin at 32mm @105psi. You might pay a little more for Continental brand but very little...but the quality is much higher...they will last much longer with much less trouble over the life of the tire. Selecting from all the different Amazon selections...brands/prices/sizes etc...I know these Continental's are the best deal overall and are very much worth a little extra if you dont want any problems down the road. I patch my tubes and there is no problem with a good patch...but I hesitate patching on cheap tubes. You get a feel for this after changing so many flats. The way a tire/tube go together (ease) really depends on a lot...but think about it...it all starts with the tube. TOP QUALITY. ... show more

    • schrader valve adapter can unscrew the presta valve

if you are using schrader valve to presta valve adapter, be aware that while unscrewing the adapter after inflating the tube, you also can unscrew the presta valve and thus deflate the tube. To avoid this, unscrew just enough adapter to let loose of the thread and then pull it out.

My rating of this product reflects my opinion of these tubes when purchased in new condition. Although the rating is positive, this review is meant as a warning to others that you might, or might not, get a great deal buying from Amazon Warehouse. So far, I've bought 4 of these tubes from Amazon Warehouse. The price is GREAT. I paid around two dollars each. I bought two each of "Condition: Used - Like New" and "Condition: Used - Very Good". The latter were described in detail as, "Minor cosmetic imperfections on the corner of the item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged." The "Condition: Used - Like New" were both exactly that: They looked and performed like new. No, I don't pinch my tubes when installing them. But somebody shopping on (and returning to) Amazon does. The two "Condition: Used - Very Good" tubes were both popped in the same place, where the N00Bs so often pop their tubes. Obviously, Amazon Warehouse doesn't attempt to inflate returned tubes. And the visual inspection skills at Amazon Warehouse aren't perfect. One of the holes made when N00B pinched his (Yes, I am certain. Any lady would have followed instructions.) tube was so large it created a flap of butyl. ... show more
