This was a great purchase! Believe it or not, this helps with intermittent fasting. Why? I have owned Contigo travel mugs for YEARS and they are hands down the best travel mugs out there. I know the rave now is Stanley and Yeti mugs but not a chance. Contigo beats both of them by price point, leak proof-ness, heat containment and style. They fit into nearly all universal vehicle mug holders and backpack pockets. I have only found their 24oz (which is HUGE AND AWESOME) to be sometimes too tall to fit into certain backpacks or mug holders that have a head clearance. I have poured a hot cup o' joe in the morning and HOURS later it's still hot. I have dropped mine and dented them and they still retain heat and are spillproof. Also, I am a stickler with making sure something is easy to clean. A lot of these mugs now days have fancy lids that gunk up and are impossible to clean which leads to gross goo build-up. Barf. These lids are dishwasher safe. I pop them so the open position and lay on top rack. I will continue to purchase these specific mugs as long as they make them. If not, I've built up a stash to last me a long time. I have several in my camping bin as they are so easy to handle, clean, and hold onto heat. Forget that flashy expensive (look at me and my Yeti on Insta! Barf....) here today gone tomorrow fad crap and buy something bomb proof like these mugs. You won't regret it ... show more

This is an excellent mug! the lid seals flawlessly every time. Tip it over, upside-down, not a drop. I've had it now for 2 months and its great. The only downsides are that the lid is just a little bit more difficult to wash but its not bad at all. The mug isnt super insulated like some of the mugs out there, but it will easily keep your coffee hot for 6-8 hours. I highly recommend this mug. The fit and finish of this is ver high quality btw. I got the licorice metallic color and the paint almost feels soft.I dont know how else to explain it. Anyway, get this mug, its great ... show more

Not only that but I wanted ones that were spill proof because when the bed is made the current cups are knocked over and water goes everywhere. I've used this version of Contigo travel mugs for years and love them. They keep coffee hot for hours (literally all morning), particularly if you use hot water to warm the mug before adding coffee. The ease of one-handed use and the ability to prevent spills is why I love these mugs. These are so reliable (if you use the lock on the top of the lid) that you can toss these full with coffee into a backpack and not really have to worry about a spill. Of course, I've had a few occasions where I didn't remember to lock the top and when the backpack tipped over, the push button to release the top valve so you can drink was pressed and I did get coffee everywhere. However, if you remember to use the lock that is unlikely to happen. I've dropped these so many times I can't count - they haven't broken. The lid has an interal mechanism that you lift up to allow for cleaning. Super easy to do. I even throw these in the top rack of my dishwasher to clean (lids included) and haven't really had any problems. Note: Instructions say not to wash the ones wrapped in a colored film in the dishwasher. I do anyway. At some point, after years of dishwashing the plastic film may start to separate (mine did) and then you're left with a stainless steel mug -- no big deal. These are way better than the style of lids that you have to lift a cover up with every sip and then stap it back into place. You can even fill these with water, lock the lid in place and then turn it upside down and shake and at most you'll get a drop or two that was in the sipping mechanism but you'll be surprised that there's virtually no leakage at all. In fact, if you don't take a sip first and start with a dry lid, you'll likely get no leakage at all even with aggressive shaking (think of the shaking that a bartended does with a mixed drink). I can't recommend these enough. The only thing I will say is that the latest version has a slightly different (almost negligible) measurement that makes them not sit properly in my car's coffee holder. Older versions of this same mug did not have this issue, so there must be a slight change in the width of the base of the newer mugs. If you use the mug in the car, I recommend testing it before use -- if it doesn't sit well, then you can return it. ... show more

I absolutely love Contigo. I've tried out many travel mugs in the past, and they beat other companies, hands down. My wife and I hit estate sales each weekend. We load up our coffee in our Contigo's and hit the road. These keep our coffee warm all day and they never leak. I got my new one last night which holds more coffee. I love it. I wore some of the paint off the one I've been using for years. It actually still works perfect, but getting ugly. That's because we've put it in the dishwasher, when you're not supposed to. That's the ONLY thing I can say I don't like, is that I have to hand wash the mug. I can put the lid in the dishwasher though. Maybe they make one that is dishwasher safe, but I haven't seen one. ... show more
