This is the 2nd Contigo of this type of coffee cup that I bought. It is only 2nd because it last longer (3 years or more ) as it is really durable. I have multiple time drop my cup and did notice any dent to it. The color only chips off if you have it for many years and that is the reason I bought a new one. I love the lock at the side of the handle that prevents your cup from spilling when you accidentally drop or press it. It is easy to press when you try to drink and open that hole. The handle have the soft grip inside that will keep your fingers from getting callouses. It does keep your drink warm enough that my hot chocolate is still warm at 12 noon when I prepare it at 6am (I only microwave my water in a different cup only for 2 mins and transfer it to this cup). I am hoping this 2nd one will be as good as my first one. Over all I love this cup and happy I bought a new one. Hopefully I can give updates after months of using it. ... show more

Definitely my favorite travel coffee mug. Keeps coffee hot for a long time, really comfortable to drink from, fits in my cup holders and easily slides into the side pocket of my backpack. - love the easy one handed operation and leak-proof security. So why not five stars? because after a year, the plastic mechanism inside the drink-button (that allows you to open the valve and drink) seems to always break such that the rubber gasket barely opens and your coffee diminishes to barely a trickle. - making it frustratingly challenging to use... but I like it so much, I find myself buying another one! (Contigo did honor their warranty the first time and replace it free of charge.) But, Contigo... why don't you replace that little plastic part with a metal part so it won't break - or at least make it a little thicker ... there are lots of complaints about this in the reviews, please! fix the design! - otherwise, this is a great mug ... feels like purposeful obsolescence! ... show more

I used my first Contigo Coffee Mug everyday for 8 yrs. and wanted another one just like it, but when I saw this Beautiful burgundy Contigo mug and after reading all about it, I decided to give it a try. Well, I'm so glad I did, it keeps my coffee hot 5-6 hrs. The lid and handle are one piece, just push the lever at the top of the handle to open and take a sip, (with arthritis I was a little hesitant) but it is much easier than I expected. The mug has a unique lid design you can drink from either side of the cup, whether your right or left handed it will work for you and, the cup lid is spring loaded so when you put your cup down it closes automatically, so no spills. 🥴 It is a little spendy but well worth every penny I paid, I absolutely love my new uniquely designed beautiful Contigo Coffee mug and I believe you will to... I'd had one of these before, but lost it in a move. I tried a few others and just couldn't go back. Not finding them locally, I scoured the internet until I found it here. I love this mug. There are a few things that I really love about the mug, but are really a matter of preference. The handle is attached to the lid. This is unusual, but I love it. This doesn't keep things *quite* as warm as other, more insulated mugs do. Some people might not like this, but I love this quality because I always tend to find drinks to be too hot. It keeps them warm, but cools off quickly enough for me to drink it. The lock has a lock. The handle has a large button that you have to hold with your thumb to drink. But there's also a switch on the side of the handle that can lock the button closed. This may be annoying for some, but I find it extremely handy for when I'm carrying it around: I don't have to worry about anything bumping that button and causing a spill. The mug is sleek and shiny, but doesn't get covered in fingerprints. It's easy to clean, with a clever mechanism in the lid that opens up and allows you to scrub behind everything. A little tab on top comes off, allowing you to clean the vent too. When I first had this mug, I worked in a very busy environment where it was extremely common for people to knock their mugs over. This one received the same treatment, but never leaked once. The only time I've seen it leak, I had it unlocked (but without the button pressed), held it upside down, and aggressively shook it up and down. ... show more

My favorite travel mug. Keeps my tea HOT for almost 8 hours! This brand is the only one I like. Doesn't leak either. This is my third one because my first one fell off the roof of my car and broke and the other fell on the cement floor at the big box hardware store while full and sheared the cover off.     • Excellent Until Autoseal Trigger Stops Working

Great mug, but only for a limited time. After several months of daily use, the trigger stops depressing the seals far enough, and hardly any liquid comes out. This has happened to me twice on this product. The issue is inside the trigger. The plastic piece that engages the spring-loaded depressor weakens over time, and it flexes rather than pushing the depressor. This results in limited depressor travel, and the seals don't drop down low enough. You'll love it for a few months, so if you're good buying a new mug 2-3x per year, then go for it.
