The media could not be loaded. I got this for my son and they are great for everyday use. He takes it to school and it is perfect to avoid accidental spills. The only down side I would say is they are smaller than I would like. When he goes to basketball practice he has to fill and take both or he will run out of water very quick. I have three kids and I have been on the hunt for good water bottles for 6 years. I have purchased what feels like ten thousand different models and so far this one has been the best. Of course, I have been on the hunt for so long that in that time my children have grown enough that they can handle this type of bottle. Let me explain. I started with the spout kind of cup/ bottle, but those leaked. If they didn't leak, that meant it required some biting action, which my kids never got the hang of. It also required tilting your head backwards when drinking, and my kids would tilt their heads back so far that the water would spill out of their mouths everywhere (they were used to the regular milk drinking bottles which had a more restricted flow). Then, I started with the straw bottles once the kids were a little older and could navigate a straw. Turns out, those leak as well. Since a good number of the more leak-proof ones require biting to release the valve, my kids bit them with all the energy and fervor that only children possess (as opposed to tired parents), and before long the straws were all munched to shreds. The worst thing about these straw ones is that the parts tend to develop mold in the inside areas that are impossible to reach. I purchased a straw cleaner but it still wouldn't clean out the mold stuck in that particular area where the straw bends. I emailed the company and ordered replacement straw parts, but they limited the number I could buy. Additionally, who wants to clean so many parts?! So I bought the sports bottle type that required you pull out the top a little when you wanted to drink. disaster! They worked well for drinking but my kids kept forgetting or neglecting to secure it shut (by pressing down on it hard enough to seal it off) and returned way too often with dripping wet school bags. lastly, the ones that are just open with no straw, just a largish hole. My kids, God knows I love them, are probably not the most refined or coordinated children, so you already know that water was everywhere and over everything constantly. Enter these bottles. They press a button and a slit opens up to drink from. Then they just put the bottle down and it automatically seals itself. Great! No need to worry about leaks. No need to worry about rubbery straw parts collecting mold. I am hoping my hunt for the perfect bottle is over. I have to say though, this works best for children over age 3-4. They must be able to hold the bottle and press on the button simultaneously. ... show more

We really love these cups! Unfortunately we had a mold issue and had to throw one away and now I’m leery. The little drinking hole has a silicone back that seals it when its closed. We wash our cups regularly and ONLY ever use water but one cup went missing for a couple of days and when it turned up, had mold on that silicone part. I tried my best to clean up, washed it in the dishwasher and even bleached it but the mold is stuck. Its too small of a space to be able to scrub it real well. We checked the other one we had and it too had just a tiny bit of mold - not as visible as this, and probably why its been missed during routine cleanings. If we buy more I’ll do a more thorough job cleaning and probably regular bleach soaks. ... show more

I don't know WHO has mold..... maybe because they aren't washing them properly. I bought these for my 6 year old to take for lunch. They are awesome. I put random drinks, not just water- and they get washed daily IN THE DISHWASHER and I've have ZERO issues. I make sure the cups and lids are dry before they are put away and it's as simple as that!!! Best purchase. ... show more

These cups are great. My kids are big spillers,sometimes because they're not paying attention, sometimes because they're rough housing, and sometimes a little bit of both. These cups are pretty rugged and they rarely leak. We've actually got two identical sets of them because my wife and kids like them so much. Highly recommend! ... show more

I absolutely love that these are leak proof and easy to use by my kids. I only allowed water in my kid’s cups. Yesterday, I filled all 3 of my kids clean cups with water before dinner. We ate then went to the park leaving the cups at home. When we got home, my four year old said, “mom something is in my cup”. There was a slimy substance floating in her cup. I grabbed it and examined the substance. I, then, started running the lid under the water and more slimy stuff continued to come from the lid. I tried to take a straw cleaner to get into the cap and clean it out. I could not get anything to come out with the brush. I ran it under the water again and more brown/grey slime continued to come out. I threw all of the cups in our house away and will not buy them again! ... show more
