I bought these for my daughter when she was 2 and 1/2, hoping she's figure it out and she did. Now these are all we use for her! They work great and they just fit into her cup holder in her car seat. But here's some info on them. Cons: It took her the better part of a week to get the button figured out. I'd say her age might have been a little young to coordinate the button and drinking, but that depends on your child's development. She would sometimes forget to let go of the button before pulling it away from her mouth, but hey, we live and we learn! The button can be a little hard to push. It needs to he pushed near the top to be fully effective. Because of the design of the cup I don't think I'd use it for juice. I would be worried about being able to wash it thoroughly enough to get any sugar off and avoid mold growing. We mostly drink water here, so that isn't a huge problem, but when she needs juice I have to use another cup. Pros: This dies NOT leak water! Which I love! This was the major selling feature for me. The only way you will get water out of it is to push the button. So no dripping at all. There is no sucking involved. So if you're worried about getting your child out of a sippy cup to save her teeth this works great. They can carry this cup around with them, but once the button is pushed it works just like a normal cup. It comes out by gravity, it took my daughter a week to get used to that. As far as some of the washing complaints go, I don't have an issue with washing it. I'd say if you're someone who doesn't regularly wash the cups, say at least every day or two, then this isn't for you. If you do then I'd say your fine. The directions read to let it sit in dishwater for 10 minutes before washing and that's what I do. ... show more

These are excellent for my kids school water bottles for elementary. They don’t spill even when knocked over and there’s no straws or extra parts to keep up with. Excellent design and they’re very cute.

I just ordered another 2 sets, have now bought 8 pairs for our kids and their cousins, ages 3-7. For school, daycare, camping these are the best water bottles we've tried out of bubba, camelbak, simple modern, hydroflask, and a bunch of cheaper bottles. These never leak or get opened accidentally, and we've had others with locking mechanisms pop open in backpacks. They are lighter than any others and easy for all kid-sized hands to open, whereas screw fliptops can be difficult. The bottom has a wide mouth for easy cleaning and I have a little bottle cleaning set that gets in/around the lid piece that pops open, but if you leave milk or pulpy juice in it for a few days it will get nasty and almost impossible to clean like any other container. I can top-rack dishwash or hand wash and we always air dry. If you put ice in it, it WILL sweat and will NOT keep it cold long, but it's still better than stainless steel, plus our kids don't care for ice anyway. I'm paying ~$5/bottle and not 15-30 so if they get lost under a carseat for a month, cracked, left at school I'm not heartbroken. ... show more

We have a lot of water bottles, many say they won't leak but they still do after a while with my kids. I saw a product review for these and figured why not I'll give them a try. Best water bottle I've ever bought for my kids. I found this bottle upside down in my kids backpack with his jacket and paperwork from school and nothing was wet! Had the same scenario with a different water bottle brand, it was like the flood in my child's backpack. They work well in a lunch box too for juice/water. We've had our bottles for two and a half years now. That's over two years of daily use and plenty of abuse at the hands of my two rough and tumble kids, the youngest of whom was only 2 1/2 when I bought these. Over two years of being dropped, stepped on, lost behind the dresser, left in the car in sweltering heat and sub-zero temps both, and we only just had one bottle cap finally break last week after being dropped on a concrete floor for about the thousandth time. I say that's pretty darn durable! I'm definitely ordering more to replace the one that broke, and provide a back-up for the other. We also never had any issues with mold or dirt, even when the kiddos absolutely covered them in mud and other questionable substances. All together, great bottles, as close as perfect as you can get for a rugged, durable choice for kids! Side note, I have the bigger adult version, too, and my son dropped it near my car a few days ago (they like my bottle as much as theirs). You guessed it - I didn't see it and drove right over it. I bought 4 of these bottles for my kids and I really like them a lot. They are spill proof which is nice and the kids figured out how to use them right away. I only rated this 3 stars because after only 2 days of use, my daughter's lid doesn't catch and is stripped on 1 bottle. So it doesn't close properly. These hold a nice amount of liquid. Overall they are leak proof but not spill proof if they are drinking from it. I like that it makes her slow down because it will spill all over her face if she just holds the button in while taking a drink. I feel like it's a great trainer for the next cup.
