    • Mail-in Rebate Fraud

Purchased this product in November while the $500 mail in rebate was available. The rebate processing appears to be a complete fraud, and refuses to honor the rebate on this item. There is no way to contact them because they do not respond to requests submitted through their contact form, and don't seem to provide a phone number. When you check the rebate status after mailing in a copy of your receipt, UPC from the box, and a copy of the pre-registration form, it says UPC not valid for this offer and that they will mail you a letter explaining what to do next. This is simply a stall tactic so that your opportunity to return the item to amazon elapses. This has been going on since November, still haven't received any correspondence from them via mail or email, after multiple inquiries for assistance on getting it resolved. The scope itself works very good. The zoom is not optical, so to speak, and therefore doesn't really let you zoom in. It just enlarges the image displayed on the screen, which causes a grainy pixelated image that doesn't really help. I've got it mounted on a .223 AR for coyotes and haven't had any problems. I haven't tried to do videos with it, or use the recoil activated video, so I can't vouch for those features, but the one-shot zero was pretty cool and seemed to work great. ... show more

The scope mount bolt while torqueing to spec with a torque wrench snapped and broke, so be careful. Other than that awesome scope.

I spent $4000 on this scope and absolutely sick about it. I bought it before a hog hunting trip in south Georgia. The guide provided guns/night vision scopes to my friends who did not own them. The scopes the guide provided cost half of the price of mine. I looked through their scopes during the night to see how much better mine was and it was literally like comparing day to night difference. My ATN Thor looked horrible compared to the much less expensive scopes on their guns. I had trouble from the start on even trying to get it sighted in. I did all the updates and went by the book on adjusting it which nothing helped. When I tried to return it I received a reply back from Amazon that it was past the deadline. I would have given it a zero if that option was available. I even call Optic Planet which was no help. It would have a lot less trouble to just throw 4 grand in the garbage can. ... show more

First scope had a dark spot in the upper left corner and an entire row of pixels dead from top to bottom second scope has this white "haze" around the edges. lets hope the 3rd scope isn't junk if not I'm switching brands.
