It took me less than seven minutes to assemble and is a decently sturdy shelf. It is more durable than a typical IKEA shelf, but not overwhelming more so. This shelf is so much better and bigger than I thought. Well, when I said “bigger,” my hubby asked me if I didn’t check the measurements before ordering it. Yes, I checked them but all I remembered was the long shelf picture with a girl next to it. I ordered a “small” one so it’s not as long as the one in the photo, but as you can see in my photos, I placed a couple of gallon jugs of water and still had space. The jugs also fit in the lower shelves (but the wine bottle was just a bit too tall for them). Assembling it was super easy. It took only 12 screws. If I didn’t have a mischievous kitty who kept interrupting me, I probably could have finished assembling in 5 minutes or so. And you don’t need a tool to assemble it. It comes with everything you need. The bottom of the legs has a rubber(?) so it won’t easily slide. It looks nice and elegant, and it is sturdy. Even my husband was complimenting it. We placed this shelving system in our kitchen. It was very easy to assemble it took about 15 minutes from unpackaging to assembly. We did have to crank a few of the fasteners down quite a bit to tighten the shef up so that it wasn't loose. Also at this price point I would expect some means of leveling the shelf so that you can account for uneven legs or floors. Overall nice, sturdy shelfing system, just a little spendy. ... show more

I LOVE this shelf! It's made from super sturdy bamboo and works great as a bathroom shelf for baskets of supplies. It was very easy to quickly assemble, and it's very solid and sturdy. This holds a lot and I love that there's a rim around each shelf to keep everything neatly inside.

We have literally had an old box in our broom closet housing all the misc cleaning products since we moved into this house...14 years ago.
