This is a great product to clean your sterling silver jewelry - without having to scrub or polish with a cloth. It does have a bit of an unpleasant odor, but got used to it and it's temporary. A jar lasts about a year, with normal use. The basket inside that lifts and lowers jewelry into the solution is nice. Only potential problem is if you have very very small, minimalist jewelry/earrings - they may fall through or partially through the holes in the basket. I remedy this by leaving on or adding additional plastic/rubber backs on the earrings. Or by counting how many I put in, to insure I get all my tiny earrings out. ... show more

Ok I'm pleasantly surprised by the results after ONE 10 second dip. I'm now sad that it appears I've gotten rid of some of my jewelry that I thought was too far gone from saving after years of trying other methods of cleaning the tarnish off. Some pieces still look a bit tarnished after a second dip, but still MUCH improved from before dipping. There is an odd smell-- from the chemical reaction during cleaning? I'd say this is worth a shot of you have jewelry that's been sitting for years not worn and tarnished. ... show more
