My wife and I bought a life jacket for each of us to use when we are boating on the lake at our ranch. My wife wears a size 6 and the small/medium fit her well. I wear a 46- 48 jacket, with a a 38 inch waist. I ordered a 48-52, and it was much too tight, especially in the waist, even with letting out the straps all the way. Bottom line: These vests run small. I did not return my vest because we will use it for guests. The vests are very attractive, well made with vibrant colors, and my wife said hers was comfortable. Buy this one you will not regret it. The fit is perfect with the four strap belts this will not have the tendency to pull over your shoulder. I am 220 lbs and it floats me beautifully.

I use it for barefoot g. In a deapwater start it needs to stay in place, stay tight, and allow water to slide by smoothly and evenly. This jacket does it all. Great for all aspects of waterskiing including barefooting.
