We are so happy with the purchase of this pedal operated go-cart! Our 6 year old is thrilled! The look on his face as he gleefully rides is priceless! It was fairly quick and easy to assemble and it is a sturdy pedal go cart. The wheels are made well and the hand brake performs well and was a natural for him to use. The low center of gravity creates great balance as well. Unlike battery power driven go carts, you are not limited in play time and the speed is dictated by the power and energy of the child. It provides wonderful exercise and helps with coordination and judgement - they need to use these skills as they learn to safely and “drive” the vehicle. But best of all, it is Great Fun for kids! Not sure that a 3 year old would be coordinated enough or tall enough to effectively ride this particular go-cart. The child’s legs need to reach the pedals and they need to have the strength and coordination to steer and pedal and use the hand brake effectively. We would recommend ages 4 to 8, but depending on the individual child, that age range could be stretched upwards. Again look at the manufacturer’s suggestions regarding weight limit etc. After searching for a Ride-On for this in-between age group -we felt this go-cart was the perfect choice! My boy was so excited when we gave him this as his gift for his 6th birthday! Dad put it together alone super quick (he did mention there’s no written instructions just pictures, but he didn’t run into any problems). I was very pleased with how quickly it arrive and how durable it is so far! An adult well over 150 lbs rode it with no problem. Should be noted that it does NOT do well on grass. It was easy enough for the adult but for my 6 yo, forget it. I don’t deduct any stars because of how much my son loves it. It gets him outside everyday and he easily pushes it through our lawn and rides it easily to our neighborhood tennis court. ... show more

Worth noting: turn radius is not great. My sons have to keep backing up while riding. The seat can only be adjusted by removing two bolts and placing them in 1 of 3 positions. The break handle is a nice touch but all 3 of my sons couldnt apply enough force by hand to actually stop the kart. The wheels are much nicer than power wheels and provide more friction and grip. The frame seems sturdy. Some of the hardware does seem a little lightweight. For example the bolts that hold the seat on are a little small in my opinion. The kart is sleek and sporty looking. Overall I am pleased with my purchase. Price does equal the quality here for now. Will have to wait and see how long it holds up to 3 boys riding. I would recommend this product. ... show more

We purchased this and a pack of superhero stickers - my son who is about to turn 4 decorated it so it’s like a Batmobile and he loves it! Best part about this is that he can swap out the stickers as he grows out of certain characters
